They're not vintage, but here's a recent eBay purchase:

I bought the set mostly to get the Tyrannosaurus, and he's awesome! He was a pain in the butt to assemble, though.

I posted this in another thread but i'm real proud of this one. So here he is again.

It's all about the Horror.

It's nothing that's particulary monster-y (Is that a word yet?).  For many years, in addition to collecting monsters, I've been a collector of View-Masters and other similar 3-D viewers.  The other day, while shopping for a little gift for the Mrs. for Valentine's Day at a local antique co-op, I picked up these 3 cards for an antique stereo viewer.  I don't have one of these old stereoscopes yet but I hope to get one eventually.  The first scene almost has a Sci Fi feel to it.  It shows a meteor in the constellation Orion.  The 2nd one is the Tower of London, which was certainly the inspiration for a couple of historical/horror movies.  It was the sight of numerous beheadings.  The 3rd one is manila and I got this one to amuse my wife as she grew up there (although this was long before she was born).  Sorry the picture is a little blurry.  I used my scanner and the cards are slightly bowed.   Rob

Collecting! It's what I do!

Ramsey,

I really like that Kong/T-Rex set. They did a good job making the Rex look like the one in the movie. Who made that set?

Rod

Monolith

X-Plus made the Kong/T-Rex set. They also made just Kong individually. They also made a limited harder-to-find Kong with a different head sculpt and Anne Darrow in his hand. Oh, and I think they made the T-rex individually, too. And they also did some Peter Jackson Kongs, too.

Horror101- nice score! I've been looking to get one of those Marx Frankensteins, too.

I did some trading with one of my very close friends today and wanted to share with the UMA, as these items seem to be uncommon and possibly rare? The Punch-out mask book is super nice, unpunched and made by LOWE, dated 1963, Universal Pictures, Co.  Frankenstein is the only Universal Monster looking of the 6. The cuff links have no date or any markings, but look like they could be from the 1960's? Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks UMA!

Apesman - those masks are great. Frankenstein is definitely Bama/Aurora Frankenstein influenced.

Dr.Terror

I got the Rapco stuff frim Danny's last bit of "stuff" sale.  And the Frankie resin recast from a fellow UMAer.  Solid so now way anyone would be fooled as being original. Reproort not it completed ny set,

Also picked up this gorgeous repro of the 60's 6ft Frankie poster from "House of the Unusual".   Just gorgeous.  I've seen the compared to originals and other than the paper, the images are perfect  Thr Drac is jur was gorgeous.  I'd love to have originals but these arnt brittle and and longevity of the newer think vinyl coated reprint. Absolutely no waay to confuse them.
Less than have the price of a new original.    Repro boxes are in the  works,

Sometime in the early 70's a british copy bought it, redrew some parts.

The grasping hand among other things were redone.   Once they stopped making these, they went on to the 2 piece plastic piece of crap.

Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

My Monster S-I-Z-E Monster poster of Frankenstein's Monster by Therin of Andor, on Flickr

This was 1975. The Frankenstein's Monster was printed on polythene, came in two sections (from Magnamail mail order) and had a set of round glow-in-the-dark stickers to go over his irises. A boy and his Monster S-I-Z-E monster. The Western shirt had the metallic gold threads in it, and press-stud buttons and the 40s Fair Isle vest was a hand-me-down from Dad.
Thiptho lapth,
