here's this weeks. Found this cool costume that says universal 63 on it but man it smells like smoke and nastyness. Any recommendations of how to clean this vintage costume with out damaging it? looks like part of it is a felt based material and the rest is old nylon.

That Mummy artwork is great! I'd almost want to frame that if I had it :)
I never got into Halloween costumes but there are some very cool images on some of them.
Very nice find

I'm actually thinking about it Richard? I'm looking for a mask first if not i'll have to frame it. The graphics are one of the neatest mummys i've seen.

part of me wants to see if the gentle cyle would work for it? I didn't notice the smell until today. lots of smoke and grease and a few stains.

Take a dryer sheet, mist it lightly with water on one side with a spray bottle (and I mean MIST it, don't soak it), and rub it all over the costume inside and out. It'll maybe take 2 sheets using each side of the sheets. Works pretty well.
We're all here because we're not all there.

Scatter's method sounds like the advice I would give you as well. Also if it's nice weather, you could hang it out on a patio or deck for a few hours.

Bogey

Not old, but had that vintage tissue paper color to them so had to have them for this year:

I like how they included the solid color ones....nice touch.

Nice paper lanterns.  What are their sizes?  Where did you find them?

Moonshadow

Went to the Bal Theater in San Leandro, California on Saturday to catch the US premiere of the documentary, "Ray Harryhausen: Special Effects Titan." The show was fabulous, even saw "Golden Voyage of Sinbad" after the documentary! There was one lone guy selling stuff in the lobby. He had a bunch of X-Plus Harryhausen figures: the sabretooth and troglodyte from "Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger," and the giant chicken from "Mysterious Island." But what caught my eye was the Ymir on a lab table from "20 Million miles to Earth." I've wanted that piece for some time. Well, it was my lucky day: he was selling them for $5 each! I got my Ymir and he's now proudly displayed next to his standing counterpart.

Wow, cool stuff, I'm within driving distance too  :blank: where did you learn of this?
