Na, its somewhere in appleton.

I really hate that place, thats why when I was there, I hung out at Half Price books & Earwax record stores. made my time there bearable.

oh ya.. and i forgot.. wisconsin DOES have some of the best antique stores I've ever been to.. You can find some amazing toys and stuff in em. I acquired
some of my best medical/surgical antiques in Wisconsin & Illinois antique stores.

Wisconsin? Do this State actually have great places to shop? They actually do have half price book stores there?

Okay, cat has been out of bag now. I do live in Wisconsin... I'm not telling what places that I shop at, still they kind of suck to you anyway...

I used to go to some really cool antique stores (they were bit too far from my home) a LOT when I was little kid, walking along with my family to those places. Good times, good times... I still go to some of them once in a while. But I just shop mostly at resale shops that is close to my home where I can find ultimately underpriced stuff.

Now I must plan my trip soon to go visiting more antique stores in near future. And take some of my family members along too.

it'll be great.  :)

I got 2 Elvira Movie Macarbe double features DVDs for $1.97 each at FYE last night! I got Gamera Super Monster/They Came From Beyond Space and Maneater of Hydra/House That Screamed. These are from her original movie Macarbe of the 80s, not the new series.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Oooooh Wisconsin! I used to shop at Graveyard Records in Cudahy ( not sure of the spelling) and sweet, sweet Flipville Records (R.I.P.).  Oh yeah, and Atomic Records too!  I loved the time I spent in that wonderful state  :)  And cheese curds rule!
I bought my Masque of the Red Death figure up there for a great price, and snuggled with it all the way back home on the plane. And I had the pleasure of seeing Pantom of the Opera at the Oriental with the greatest organist and organ I've ever heard.

missdead- I'm SUPER-old! My daughter was in dental school at Marquette in 2004, and I would fly up (in a plane-teehee) and visit her every few months.  She would take me to all my favorite monster/record stores and we had a blast!! The guys and gals at Graveyard Records were so nice! I loved that place  :)  Sadly, Flipville closed after the owner passed away, but my memories of digging through his treasures make me smile  :)

Scary Terry

If you're looking for a great selection of books on comics and graphic novels, the Half Price stores in Minneapolis and St. Paul are tops.  There's a huge comics community up there, and always a big selection of cool stuff at HP.  Magers and Quinn is also a great used book store -- in Uptown in Minneapolis.

The HP stores here in KC don't compare.

They really do have some really nice antique stores up here. I dont think people value antiques as much up here because there is just this great abundance of them. Some of the stores are soo cheap. I just finally found a awesome four post canopy bed for like 400 bucks. It looks like something right out of an old castle. I just need to make some cash up here quick and hope its still there.

by the crazy low prices at these antique stores.  ( gotta love supply & demand . ) and its like the ppl that live there, dont even care about it.

I must go to more antique stores, soon, VERY SOON! I remember that many things that I bought in past really surprise me how underpriced they are those days.

Found these at a great price at a kool toy store in Cleveland called "Big Fun Toys".  This place has everything.  I'm talking old toys from the 60's on up, as well as video games, prank toys......everything.  I was in heaven.  Since I'm a huge fan of just about everything, I pick up these items at the store.  The GI JOE Tomahawk and Cobra Hydrafoil have been on my wish list for about 10 years, just couldn't find em at a good price.  Found this cool Dracula figure and these cards as well.
