Take an xacto knife and carefully open the back... I would NEVER be able to resist viewing that!

I too had the Drac and Frank reels, which are WONDERFUL... This must really be a treat.

Talk about a collcetable... could you imagine having any of those dolls or puppets from those photo shoots???

Toy Ranch

When I was a kid, there were 2 stubstances that were vital to any monstering around...  one was Imagineering Vampire Blood, which I had to be careful with, as it would stain things...

The other was Lighting Bug Glo Juice, which I put on everything!  Our house had a central bathroom that had no windows, and there were 2 rooms, one was a tub room, and adjacent to that was a bathroom with toilet and sink.  This was the place I would decorate as a spook house over and over, and in order to transform it from a bathroom to a spook house, I needed the lights out and it had to glow, so it did!  I've been searching for a boxed bottle for a long time, and finally managed to get one!

Funny how they used to package things...  on the side panels and back, it exhaustively tells you all the places you can put it, including on yourself.  I believe they were intending the photo of the cat to be a halloween decoration, but the cat drawing looks like the kid with it on himself, so the box is actually telling kids to paint their cat's eyeballs and teeth with it!  It's a good thing we didn't have a cat when I was running around with a bottle of this stuff, is all I can say....  :D

Love that Glo Juice Bobby. You always have such interesting stuff featured in your threads. As for my latest, my search for Imagineerings Tooth-Out has come to an end. I picked it up in this lot the other day. It's the little things sometimes that make you the happiest.

A few neat things I've received recently.

Finally got those smaller size Renzi Kongs in. They are more like 11" tall than the 7" I was led to believe. The unpainted one has no markings on the bottom, nor does it have a circle to cut out to retrieve your coins. Although it does have the slot on the head. A bootleg?

My absolute favorite things being made right now is this "Destroy All Monsters" Battlezone diorama from Far East Monsters so I gotta pimp it just a little, even though it may be a bit OT. The new King Ghidorah rocks.. His left neck rests in Godzilla's right hand and and his right head is firing  at the Mothra larva and Rodan, which are next in the series... All feature light and sound.. Beautiful!

Still slowly framing my posters and recently snagged this She Creature insert.. Far and away my best piece to date..

These little things are interesting. Glow in the dark Frankenstein and Dracula from Japan. I guess you could call these charms. They are about 2" tall with the loop on the head for hanging. The back of the header card shows three different yokai monsters that I'd love to have if they were made, but I've never seen them. Sorry it's hard to see them in detail, but I don't really plan on, or see the need to, take them out of their bags (nor would I remove that Wolf Man View Master set, fwiw. ;) )

Other recent scores include a Mad Monster Party Uncle Boris statue, a mib 8" Remco Frankenstein, some candles and a really neat Curse of the Mummy's Tomb lobby card I got for about $8.

Love those Japanese monster charms!!!

Yeah, those made me perk up, too!  They remind me of White Castle monster premiums.

Always great to see everybody's finds, especially the rarities and obscure items.

Nothing rare here but I just found this up for a "Buy it Now" on Ebay and couldn't resist (I'm still mesmerized by the Marx monsters!), this set is the only one I've seen come up (at least since the beginning of this year)-

I already had the loose set that someone had painted with the washable colors from the set, which most of the colors rubbed off with the slightest touch, so now I'll be able to repaint this set with something more permanent.

Also I recently picked up the Cine Art Frankenstein for about 25 bucks over the original price-

I found them on Yahoo Japan a while back searching for yokai (妖怪)

I still need to find the Dracula and the Rokurokubi figures. :(

I NEED that Lightning Bug Glo Juice. I thought I remembered all the stuff I had as a kid. I didnt remember that til I saw your picture

NekroDave

I really like that Monster Studio box, zombiehorror. Might have to keep an eye out for one.

Getter_1, thanks for posting those other charms. Good to know that they are out there. I'll have to start searching for yokai more often. I really slowed down a lot after completing my Nitto set of vinyls. I just hate having to sift through page after page of cartoony Ge Ge Ge No Kitaro stuff..

Getter_1

Yeah. I know what you mean. You could also add glow to the search (ヒカル).  That might help (although I didn't see anything last time I looked).

I know, not Universal Monstsers...Sorry to everybody else. :)

NekroDave

Well, how about if we were to combine the genres? :)

Btw, I saw that term you posted on the header card, but had no idea what it was supposed to say. If it denotes glow though, it's certainly not the best term to use for searching. I usually just add the generic kanji for "light" (光) next to the name of whatever I'm searching for. Or some variation of the terms for "light", "night" (夜) and "version" (版) for more generic glowie searches. I don't think there is an actual term for "glow in the dark" in Japanese, so "night light version" has been the best I could come up with so far.

By the way I weekly found those little Creepy Classics Monster finger puppet things at Dollar Tree again, picked up a Mummy, Dracula and Curse of the Werewolf. I have no idea why they're holding those sticks or what your supposed to do with them - ? Is there a pinata that's part of this set? Anyway FYI to whoever missed out on those

I was at a Dollar Tree here in NJ yesterday and although they had some Halloween stuff, none of those products were left over here.  I already have them so I'm not too concerned.  They did have the cool gargoyles that they had last year though.  I guess our Annual UMA Halloween Watch is beginning...

I'll be invading "Dollar Tree" tomorrow afternoon in search of cheap artificial flowers to use a set decorations for the musical "The Secret Garden" so I'll have an excuse to poke in all the corners of the store--who knows what I'll fine.
