Popcult! Gee Wizz! That's a great find! What's the strange head bucket in the middle of the photo? Heh-heh!  Buddy

I've picked up a few things recently, all Halloween related. First up is a Telco Dracula motionette:

I suppose now that I have 3 of the Telco Universal Monsters, I'll have to buy the rest of the set ;) I also picked up another Halloween blow mold, the jack o'lantern atop corn stalks:

I also picked up a second Rushton Scarecrow Sam doll:

I know that technically Sam doesn't qualify as a monster toy, but he does qualify as a Halloween toy. Rushton specialized in vinyl face dolls and plush animals from the 1950's through the 1980's, and they did seasonal toys for Christmas, Easter, Valentine's Day, and graduation. As far as I can tell, Scarecrow Sam is the closest they ever came to doing Halloween themed toys. I picked up another Rushton Scarecrow about a year ago and had him professionally cleaned and repaired:

The eBay seller I got him from said that he originally belonged to her mother. When the mother outgrew him, he ended up in in her bedroom closet. The seller refused to go near that closet as a child, because she knew the Scarecrow was in there waiting for her. I had to buy him just based on that story ;) You can see before and after pics of his repairs here:

We don't get into Halloween too heavily Down Under, but I couldn't resist this as my annual Halloween decor:

Love those pumpkin blow molds. Especially the one with the pointy teeth. I've got a few myself and IMO nothing really screams vintage Halloween like one of those.
