Those blanks look cool.  In a similar vein -- here's a Frankenstein I made out of a blank "Munny" figure for an art show here -- he's wearing a helmet that's letting him transmit his thoughts to the TV...!

Hey Guys,

I picked up these transfers from Gillman-Fan a while back. Just got around to actually making the display last week. Just thought I would share with you.

Propman- This looks so nice- they are beautifully framed and perfectly arranged! That's what kills me about you artists, everything you do looks like the stuff of my dreams  :)   Gillman-Fan does amazing work and the colors are so complimentary. Did you happen to get a Metaluna Mutant transfer? It's my absolute favorite- if I had to pick just one!

Thanks Charp13 !!! It was a fun little craft project that my wife and I did together.
But this was one of the least artistic projects I've done in a long time. And it was pretty light on the wallet too!!! The frames came from Hobby Lobby. They were on a 50% off sale so I got them both for $12.00 total. I only had to buy one yard of fabric for all three so that was around $6.00. And the boarder is really just some Halloween ribbon I got from Wal-Mart that ran me about $5.00. So with the transfers, the total project cost around $50.00.
I don't thing Gillman-Fan had any of the other transfers (including the Mutant) out at the time I bought these. I really only wanted the classic ones but I can't say I've seen one from Gillman-Fan that I didn't like!!!!!!!!

GAKENSTEIN

The wife and I took a much-needed weekend trip to the beach and I found this animated Frankenstein in a Christmas shop.  He was in a Halloween display and marked at $220.  After turning on the GAKENSTEIN charm, I cadged him for $100 -- and the sales lady threw in a Franky head mercury glass ornament for free!  He's musical and dances.  I think I'll dye his clothes black for a more accurate look.

Proud Monster Kid with his new toy!

He had no box so I had to carry him to my car. Got a lot of response from folks, especially when his head came off in the middle of the street!

At home in the collection.

That was a pretty good deal. When I got mine out for Halloween this year, I noticed that the box had a pre-printed KMart pricetag that said, $89.99.  The stores only had 1 or 2 each, so it was almost impossible to find one on sale after Halloween the year I got mine.  EBay prices are more like $200.00 now.
ADAM

Dr. Madd

I bought three classic monster novels from Walmart in hardback... Frankenstein, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. I've been kinda feeling all Jekyll/Hyde lately.

Gakenstein- That Frankie will bring you years of happiness!  I bought mine 5 years ago (I think) from Kmart after Halloween for about $50. It was the last one and I don't think it had a box. I only plugged it in a couple of times because I wasn't really into the songs and all. Since I've had him for 4 Halloweens, I've strapped him to a table with lab type props, Put him in the window with a light under him one rainy Halloween, Put him next to the electric chair with his hand pulling the side mounted switch, and this year I had his arms posed straight out in front of him on the front porch. His name tag on his jacket is gone, his clothes are faded out and I lost his power cord, but he stands in my room year round. And I still think he's cool    :)
