I am a long time lurker here.. I finally registered to get rid of the pop up screen back in January, and I am just now starting to post on here. So, let me introduce myself, as I apparently haven't done so already.

My name is Nathan, and I'm 26 years old.  I live in Baltimore, MD.. I'm a collector of vintage monster toys and novelties, vintage halloween & spookshow items, creepy & macabre objects, sideshow / freak show memorabilia, horror posters, and other assorted items. My favorite Universal Monster is The Creature From the Black Lagoon.

I own my own business selling used books, and I spend all day in thrift stores, so I make some cool finds on the cheap.. many of which I'll be passing onto the community for cheap since I'm picky about what I keep, but not about what I buy. Anything I don't wish to keep will be posted in the For Sale forum or eBay.

Here is my haul of items I acquired from September 12 -September 19. This will include any eBay items I received in the mail this week, even if they were won earlier:

Thrift Store Finds:
Teclo Motion-ettes Witch w/ Original Box
Gemmy Frankenstein Wall Plaque that sings "Who Can It Be Now"
1991 Hamilton Gifts 12" Wolfman Figure (also found Dracula, but he's still in my truck somewhere)
Empire Blow Mold Ghost w/ Pumpkin & Cat
MSTK 3k DVD Box Set

Antique Show
50's or 60's E. Barnes Fleming Funeral Services Sign
50's Wilbert Salesman Sample Grave Vault
1964 Mattel Herman Munster Doll - $50!  Score!
60's Art Anson Frankenstein "Cartoon Stirrer" Swizzle stick

eBay
50s Halloween Themed Baby Ruth Box
Collegeville Spooky Spooks Devil Boxed Costume
Assorted Novelties: King Kong Ring, Goofy Teeth, Black Soft Rubber Monsters, Dangling Spiders

Monster Mania Convention
Harvey Stephens Signed Photograph from The Omen
The Car T-shirt (Not Photographed)
Bates Motel Ashtray and Key Rings (Not Photographed)
Aurora Monsters Documentary DVD (Not Photographed)

Halloween Store
Novelty Shrunken Head

Overall, this has been an amazing week for finding stuff!

ballyhooligan

If anyone has anymore info on these soft rubber monster figures (I assume they were sold in gumball machines?) I'd love to know more about them, especially if there are more in the set, and when they were sold.

I would also like more information on the Art Anson Frankenstein "Cartoon Stirrers" swizzle stick.  I have the box, but the rest of the set consisted of drunk humans instead of monsters.  I couldn't find any information on this piece, but you all seem to know everything about everything!

and just for the hell of it, here is the detail shot of my best find of the week.. I may end up parting with this one though.  I'd love to collect Munsters stuff, but the prices are way out of my hemisphere.

Bally, I might be interested if you plan to sell.

For the most part, just general used books on Amazon.  I do have a website, but it's not functioning yet.. and who knows if it ever will be.  Not much rare stuff, but I do have a sweet fine copy of the Dracula stage play edition in dust jacket if you need that. I'm looking for $500 for it.. I paid $570 for it at PBA Galleries w/ buyers premium in 2008.  I was going to collect all the horror books until I found out what the Creature From The Black Lagoon book sold for in dust jacket... I still might, who knows.. I spend most of my income on collecting, and it's hard to determine what to allocate to different fields of my collection.

Here is a link on eBay listed at a higher price, but if you want it, just let me know.

I'm more into books about old Hollywood, the stars, the beginnings of the movie industry, the studios. the major players from the early days. If you have anything along those lines, I'm your man!
