Let's share some scans of vintage toy catalog pages.

There's something about looking at these pages that makes me feel like I'm going back in time all while losing my grip on reality. I suddenly feel like I'm entitled to head out to the department store and order all the cool toys featured in the catalog.

"I want to order this toy right here in your catalog."  I'm sorry sir, that toy is no longer available, and besides it's 2012 - not 1964.  And then I respond - "please let me speak with your manager."  And then the ambulance arrives. And I scream - "damn you all to hell, and  a very Merry Christmas to you all!"

My response "Well order some. 1964 isn't so long ago."

I'm sure hoping to see the Renzi monster car ad mentioned in another thread. Searching Google diligently for it.

If you're lucky enough to find an A.J. Renzi catalog, please let me know...I've been trying to track one down for a while. I called the Leominster public library, and exchanged a couple of emails with their library historian, and she didn't have much information on the Renzi company, other than the factory was sold and torn down shortly after 911. I'd really like to know exactly when they started producing their cool skull trick or treat pails, and how long they were in production for.
