I FREAKIN' knew Sinistre was up to NO GOOD! First he pretends to be the DON POST PHANTOM and THEN he pretends to be a convenience store customer BUT he's a thief. And hangs out with Pirates, Witch's and Savage Eye Dracula. Clearly a lost cause!

'Some vintage shots of the original DPS "Calendar" masks

Amazing clip! Thanks for posting. There are a lot of killer masks in there, deluxe DP, a ton of classic 800s, Burman Frankenstein, even a few Topstones new the end. However, any idea what the mask is behind Tor?

Dr.Terror

Morning, noon, or night, Anytime . . . . the count may strike. If you're caught you have to linger, Cause Dracula may bite your finger!

QuoteIs that Larry Edmunds books?

It probably was, Dr Terror. Edmunds Cinema Bookstore was right next to
Wheeler Magic at the time. Bongo Wolf was a habitué there and I'd often
see him waddling around town with bags full of books. He had quite a
respectable library at home.

I can only make out that 800 line Phantom on the left, Josh.
The other one is lost in the shadows of times long past.

On YouTube, a series pilot titled "scared stiff" from 1971 with bob Denver shows some masks at the end of opening sequence at the start.  Looks like Carlisle and old vampire man? I don't know how to bring images over but someone else may.

Check out The Wild, Wild West Season 1, Episode 7 (The Night of the Glowing Corpse) for Don Post mask sightings.

At the 20 minute mark Jim West enters a haunted attraction at a carnival. We see a Metaluna MUtant mask and a couple of minutes later a Dracula and Hunchback. This episode aired October 29th, 1965.

I couldn't find any pics of these scenes online or I would have posted them.

It may look a lot like the "Metaluna Mutant" but I've heard that head
is a rejected xenomorph conceived for 1953's  It Came From Outer Space.

Doh!

Tor Johnson made an appearance in the original Mad Max. (Full disclosure: I'm pretty sure I first read that on the now defunct Halloween Mask Association forum):

It is. I forgot this thread was supposed to be DP masks.  ;D

I called it a MM, because it looks more like that then the ICFOS alien and it was the obvious inspiration for the Mutant.

Yea, I was looking at that and was wondering what that was from.  I knew it wasn't the mutant.
