1. Nick Cave & Warren Ellis - Carnage - These guys never let me down. Anti-social lockdown music ("Ill shoot you in the f**king face, if you come around here"). Brilliant lp.
2. Tom Waits - Bad as Me - Another artist that delivers every time.
3. Randy Newman - Best of - 21 Newman masterpieces on one disc. Nuff said.

With the weather trying desperately to turn into spring I've fallen into a synthwave groove. Currently listening to Midnight Danger - Chapter 2: Endless Nightmare.

I'm currently reading a book, and every chapter is the title of a metal album. I decided to listen to the albums that I wasn't super familiar with. Fair warning, I'm not a huge metal guy so there are some shocking entries on this list. So far I've done:

Warlock - True as Steel
Venom - Welcome to Hell
Slayer - Reign in Blood
Fates Warning - Awake the Guardian
Napalm Death - From Enslavement to Obliteration (I didn't finish this one to be honest)
Megadeth - Countdown to Extinction
Def Leppard - High N' Dry
Manowar - Fighting the World
Meshuggah - Destroy Erase Improve (currently listening)

Sounds interesting. What's the book if I may ask? Some classic records in there.
I'm huge Napalm Death fan. Yeah, those records are pretty gnarly though. That's an album from original lineup. Straight up grindcore with raw production. I can totally get down w/those first two records, but I def like ND more when Barney joined as the lead singer and Harris on lead guitar. The sound evolved into a more thrashy-death metal vibe.

It's called We Sold Our Souls by Grady Hendrix. Thanks for the info on Napalm Death. Grindcore definitely isn't my thing but it sounds like I'd dig later Napalm Death way more.
