I was working out at the World Gym on Yonge Street in downtown Toronto in 2001 or so when I noticed a heavily tattooed girl working out in the company of a two person entourage. When I inquired as to what that was about, I was told that the girl was Bif Naked and that she needed the bodyguards because "there are a lot of weird people out there".

To which my response was "Huh? It looks to me as if Bif Naked's in the business of weirding everybody else out. I'd say it's the rest of us who need the bodyguards."

Nonetheless she was great when I saw her in concert at the Mod Club on College Street in 2008(?) and I went out and bought this CD:

BBC Session albums are always worthwhile. What you get is a legitimate live recording, but in a good quality studio designed for sound recording purposes. The BBC albums therefore provide a very good indication of how well a band can actually play the music found on its releases.
