Incredible, iconic, and simply amazing. The grand daddy album of all prog rock. Long live the king!!

I just recently was able to get a home theater with 5.1 surround sound. I'm really getting an education in this format. i wasn't aware that there are two types of 5.1, with DTS being the preferred format. I have several classic albums by Crimson, ELP, Tull, etc in the dts format that unfortunately my system can't handle. The Tull has a Dolby equivilent which does play, and I have a Gentle Giant in 4.0 surround sound. These sound incredible to me! I hope to upgrade some day to a true DTS system, but for now play my various concert dvd's, Floyd, Tull, Yes, etc that are in 5.1 and they sound great!

Confusion will be my epitaph...ICONIC. This album has SOO much emotion. Do NOT listen if you are depressed -on downers etc. I did 35+ years ago and almost didn't make it.

That album is a favorite of mine.  Though the "King" would be ROBERT FRIPP I guess, I think the lineup changed each album at least until my favorite... Lark's Tongue In Aspic

I'm listening to a lot of LOU REED

Lester, I believe you are correct. Unfortunately, sadness and depression are part of this fallen world. I think the honesty of this album in depicting this is part of the appeal for me. The creativity and musicianship both lyrically and musically of this album are just off the charts. The overall mood just enchants me.

Great, great album. I really like the line up of the band during this period.
