Bride of the Gorilla (1951) - Trailer

Alright I suppose. Good thing I hadn't seen the posters first though. The movie falls way short of what's promised.

It's another low budget attempt to cash in on the Zombie craze which was very popular in the early '80s after legit classics like Dawn Of The Dead and Fulci's Zombie put the subgenre at the forefront of Horror. It's an hour and a half of barely plotted, poorly written, poorly acted, and overly padded, hybrid Zombie and Mummy movie. They even missed several chances to inject the expected comely girl nudity into the mix (which is one of their biggest cinematic offences, and a crime against Exploitation lovers  >:(). The only things really good about it is some of the make-up and limited special effects. But, yeah, for monster movie fans who like the Zombie craze of the '80s it's still fun.  ;D

BTW, the Zombie craze I referred to never really left. It just changed into even worse flicks shot by wanna-be filmmakers using camcorders.  :P  It's still going strong, if you can call it that. Like the undead, it just won't die.  Zombie Roll Eyes

Thank you for the info, H.H. I am fan of the Zombie film genre. Especially poorly acted and written. However the Zombies film that are S.O.V., well, it can be a bit too much.

Some of the effects are quite good but the plot's pretty silly.
