The Dali and the Cooper (2018)

Bizarre and humorous short film about the time Salvatore Dali and Alice Cooper hung out. I think Mars and Mord among others will appreciate this film. I like it. Pretty far out.

Consider it done.💀⚰

Stan Against Evil; Seasons 1-3~I started watching this several years ago, making it through the first couple of episodes but didn't keep watching for one reason or another.  I did enjoy the few episodes I wstched so I decided to finally sit down and finish the series; fun stuff, well worth a watch.

The Ghost Galleon, 1974 - Bikini-clad models are stranded in mid-ocean for a publicity stunt.  But plans go awry when a dense fog settles around their boat and they an ancient galleon, man by skeletons shows up.

Never mind who's in it.  I doubt any of them made any other films.

One of those maddingly flat films that the (Spanish?, Italian?) film silent and dub with the voices of actors who sound like they are reading from a cooking book.

One of the worst films I have ever sat all the way through.  No one seems very interested in what is going on around them.  Even the plot seems uninvolved in the story, with the characters repeatedly falling asleep during periods of supposed eminent peril.

Avoid at all costs.

Is there at least a decent level of nudity? Inquiring minds want to know.

The Ghost Galleon

One of the 4 Blind Dead films and it's the worst of the bunch.
There's a great coffin shaped boxset containing all 4 films and a 40 page booklet about the series; I blind (no pun intended) bought the set back in the mid-2000's and became an instant fan upon watching them.

Mothra, 1961 - Big bug terrorizes city while twin pixies are kidnapped and treated like Pinocchio.

Guy from Godzilla and a bunch of others.

All I remembered from this movie, that I saw in a theater back in 1961/2, was the worm, the moth and buildings being knocked down.  I was under the impression that I had liked it.

Seeing it on Blu-Ray today, I wonder if I was asleep through most of the film.  I didn't remember the "Peanuts" characters at all.  If I had, I would never have bought the new release.  Just awful! And worst of all b-o-r-I-n-g beyond all belief.

I've had my memories betray me before, but never this badly.

Arsenic and Old Grapes, 1944 - Halloween in the Bronx at the Brewster place.

Cary Grant, Priscilla Lane, Raymond Massey, Peter Lorre, Jack Carson, Josephine Hull, Jean Adair, Edward Everett Horton, James Gleason and John Alexander.

Just reading the cast gives me little nostalgic goosebumps.  Wonderfully atmospheric comedy that never fails to satisfy.

Popped this one in the player to cleanse my cinematic palate after the last two left a sour taste in my mouth.  As always, it did the trick.

 Return to Salem's Lot  -

Don't know if I'm insulting any fans out there, but this sequel was a load of crap. The kid was annoying as all hell and the Barlow design was laughable. Anyone disagree?

That was the title given to it in a Bugs Bunny cartoon of the era.

It was actually a Porky and Sylvester toon called "Kitty Kornered". A wine bottle the cats are drinking from is labeled "Arsenic and Old Grapes". Classic Bob Clampett cartoon!
