I so dig, JAWS II.

Yeah J2 totally underrated. Jaws 3 and 4 are unwatchable (and I say that as someone who has high tolerance for bad sci-fi and horror movies). So I think Jaws 2 sometimes gets linked with the other sequels unfairly.

I agree with you guys the shallows is outstanding. Meg underwhelming to say the least.

I doubt he'd give it much thought, Scream wasn't his creation.

He did direct all four films (twice the amount of "Elm St." films he directed). Kevin Williamson created "Scream", but Craven had a huge hand in it's success.

Speaking of Wes Craven and Elm St. I will be meeting Heather Langenkamp on Saturday at Crypticon Kansas.

 Ghost World (2001) -

Though not horror, very worthwhile comedy. It's one of the funniest films of the last 20 years. I like the bit where the two girls start following a couple they think are Satanists. Sample lines :
Rebecca - "So, what do Satanists do, anyway?"
Enid - "Sacrfice virgins and stuff."
Rebecca  - "Well, that lets us off the hook."

Oh my Lanta. One of my favorite films. Plus, the bluray is part of the Criterion collection. Thora Birch looks like every Goth-Punk Woman I dated.
