What did you think of Bird Box, Mike...In 3-D?

I liked it a lot, as did my girlfriend that isn't into horror as much as I am. I thought it was presented well and it created a tense atmosphere, which I appreciated.

Doomwatch, 1972 - A scientist sent to research the unusually large specimens of sea life found around a small, remote Scottish island, discovers a secretive human population that has unexplained disappearances and unmarked woodland graves.  The mystery widens and deepens.

Ian Bannen, Judy Geeson and George Sanders.

Based loosely on the British TV series of the same name from 2 years earlier.

Not straight horror, almost qualifies as pure science fiction - I'd call it speculative fiction/mystery.  Features a solid British cast and great Cornwall locations.

The very affecting makeups by Jack Pierce (billed here as Jack P. Pierce) are not credited at all in the IMDb.  That should be corrected.  They are some of Jack's best work from his later years. You might want to freeze frame on a few of the faces here.

Worth the watch for the atmosphere and the makeup.

41, 2012 - A young man is told by himself, don't go to a certain motel.

I watched that the other night. Pretty good! Very good acting for a no budget movie. Thanks for the link! Did you watch the "making of" docu.?

Amazing what can be done on such a small budget.

The Making Of documentary is OK - don't recall it being anything special.

What I found interesting was to see the equipment they used to make the movie. The camera looked  like an old Cannon 35mm SLR. Obviously, it had to be a digital camera. The tripod didn't look all that different than mine.  Despite the limitations, they turned out a professional looking movie!  :)

Mord

The Annihilation  - unfortunately,  I was awake for most of this pretentious, sci-fi snoozefest. The electronic score was pretty distinctive, though. Nudity would have helped immensely.
