Great early DePalma horror movie! Outstanding Herrmann score!

Yep, forgot to mention the awesome music. I'll likely get the blu ray at some point. I watched it on TCM on demand.

I bought the Criterion DVD, some years back, so I probably won't upgrade to the BD.

I just found out that SISTERS was remade in 2006! I can't imagine me watching it, especially without the Herrmann score.

Me neither. Had no idea there was a remake.

As for Criterion, their DVDs probably look almost as good as their blu rays. They've always had high quality.

Tonight I rewatched THE THING (1982) for the umpteenth time - another of my favorites.

Monsters For Sale

#16869
Bag of Bones, 2011 - Writer who suffers a great loss moves to his mountain cabin retreat and begins having visions/visitations/hallucinations?  He isn't sure - at first.

Pierce Brosnon, Annabeth Gish, Anika Noni Rose, Matt Frewer, Melissa George and William Schallert.

Stephen King made-for-TV movie, shown in two parts.

I watched this one because I had just seen a very long interview that William Schallert gave about his career.  In it, he had spoken about this part he had been given so late in his life and what fun he had playing such an awful character.

I had also forgotten that I had already seen it once.  It was nice getting reacquainted with this one - very atmospheric and spooky.
ADAM

Mord

The Cured. - Tedious zombie melodrama. Some of the zombie population are cured, but not welcome back to society. They face discrimination which anger the little ex-zombies. Very talky with little action and NO nudity. Come on! Didn't Romero already prove that a naked zombie can be sexy?

The Undying Monster(1942)
The Atomic Submarine(1959)
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."
