Great lineup there, Memph! Especially those Barbara Steele gems.

I watched The Long Hair Of Death not long ago on the new Raro Blu-ray and I'm very impressed with the film and the release. It's uncut and Babs even favors us with a glimpse of nudity. I love Barbara Steele!  Zombie In Luv

Thanks! LONG HAIR OF DEATH is a particular favorite of mine as well! I watched these Barbara Steele films to celebrate her birthday today actually. :)

Much of the good Eurohorror seems almost ethereal and dreamlike, especially Klimovsky's stuff. It's like an acid trip for Monsterkids with no ill effects... well physically anyway.

One I've become very fond of is Cross Of The Devil with Ramiro Oliveros and Emma Cohen. It's directed by John Gilling but the soul of it is by Naschy who wrote it before he got muscled off the picture. You don't know for sure if it's an opium trip or a Gothic ghost story involving Ossorio's Blind Dead! It's pleasantly ambiguous and prime Eurohorror. It doesn't have a legit release but the floating boot is of decent image quality and unfortunately may be snipped a few seconds short at the end. That one is begging for a Blu-ray bells and whistles release!

Oops! It wasn't opium, it was hashish. Got my illicit drugs mixed up, anywho...

Something else, Cross Of The Devil (at least the cut on the boot) is pretty much devoid of exploitative elements and could be shown on TV (probably PG). If Naschy had been left at the helm it would probably be liberally sprinkled throughout with gore and nudity which would have spiced up the proceedings. It's still a very good picture and well worth seeking out for Eurohorror fans. The spirit of the film has Naschy all over it.
