I will let you know......my curiosity is definitely piqued!

It Follows, is really unique. Not a typical cookie-cutter Horror film. Lots if subtext through-out the film.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Memphremagog

The Hideous Sun Demon(1959)
Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah(1992)
Scars Of Dracula(1970)
Horror Of Frankenstein(1970)
The Pyramid(2014)
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Been enjoying some Hammer classics from the new Blu-rays:

The Two Faces Of Dr. Jekyll
The Revenge Of Frankenstein
Brides Of Dracula
The Curse Of The Werewolf
Night Creatures
The Kiss Of The Vampire
The Evil Of Frankenstein

I read some online reviews of the Uni Hammer Horror 8-Film Collection being critical of it because some of the films aren't in exact original aspect ratio. They look damn good to me, a huge improvement over the old DVDs. I noticed no lack of screen image as in cut off edges, etc. I recommend the new Blu-rays from Uni and Mill Creek...bargain priced too.  ;)

Even Mill Creek? Most of the MS stuff I own is filled with terrible prints. I would love to give them another chance with the Hammer films.

Escape from New York (1981)

John Carpenter's The Thing (1982)

Here's a review of the two Mill Creek Hammer Blu-ray double features: http://www.dvddrive-in.com/reviews/n-s/revengeoffrankensteinblu58.htm

To sum up, the Revenge/Curse BD has less than standard image quality for Blu but it's still an improvement over the DVDs. The Jekyll/Gorgon BD has nice image quality. The point is these are the BDs we're getting for these movies and they're very inexpensive. If better versions are released later- fine, but right now this is what we have.

The Universal Hammer Horror 8-film Blu-ray set looks great, and it's cheap too, like around $30. Bare bones Blu-rays all, but priced appropriately.

The Ghost Ship(1943)
Godzilla vs Mothra(1993)
The Town That Dreaded Sundown(1977)
The Beast With Five Fingers(1946)
Cat People(19420
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

Mill Creek had been reissuing a lot of studio movies (mostly Columbia) and using the same source material. It's not like their PD stuff.
