...superior to the US cut in that there is more of Godzilla and some awesome shots that shouldve remained. I still like Raymond Burr in Godzillas though.

Bone Tomahawk.  Grim stuff.  I didn't even recognize Richard Jenkins.  Everyone was great in it.

Howl Of The Devil (1987)

Man, this one is wild! It's a must-see for Paul Naschy fans. Naschy plays several roles including the classic monsters, two actor brothers, and Satan. The film is directed and written by Paul Naschy and stars Naschy, Caroline Munro (who is stunning here), and Eurohorror stalwart Howard Vernon. The only print around (that is commonly known anyway) is a really bad Spanish TV print in Spanish with English subs, but it runs 92 minutes with no commercials and is full of full frontal nudity and very explicit gore. IMDB claims that the film runs 97 minutes, but it seems complete at 92 min. I'm suspicious of some of those supposed run times on IMDB anyway, among other info that is suspect. Anyway, this is really good Horror, and plays like sort of a love letter to the genre and it's fans from Naschy. The ending is a shocker too. Wow, this film is in dire need of a quality release with all the bells and whistles if the original negative or a good print could ever be scared up. Solid 8 out 10.

Paul Naschy's real life son (Sergio Molina) plays Adrian, the son of one of the brothers Naschy plays in the film (Alex), and continues to imagine he sees the classic monsters with whom he is friends (he reads monster mags). In one of his imaginings Waldemar Daninsky shows up and Adrian says, "Waldemar, hello, have you seen Larry Talbot? He suffers like you." All through the film he sees different monsters- the Frankenstein Monster, Phantom Of The Opera, Hunchback Of Notre Dame, Mr. Hyde. Very cool homage to what us Monsterkids dig.  :)

Repo Men at a little indy theater last night.  Hadn't seen it before.  Very fun movie, and easily one of the better Emilio Estevez movies.

An extremely great film and (Punk Rock) Cult Classic.

Dr. Terror's House Of Horrors (1965)

This was Amicus' first horror anthology and one of their best. The other one to rival it in quality is Tales From The Crypt (1972). Artistic license is taken with Tarot meanings, but that really doesn't matter here. What does matter is that we're given an excellent horror film with Peter Cushing at his best. It's great to get the Blu-ray release but Olive Films dropped the ball by not including any special features.. not even the freakin' trailer. Still, the quality of the movie itself looks and sounds fine, but no special features on a Blu-ray release for a classic? Disappointing, Olive Films.
