Just finished "Creepshow II" - not very good for a horror trilogy, the last tale ("The Hitch-hiker) being the best of the lot.

Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (3D)~Great follow up to Sin City; the 3D on this one is outstanding.

Man of Steel (3D)~A superbly flawed reinvention of the Superman mythos.  Admittedly I haven't picked up a Superman comic since the late 80's but this is definitely not any version of Superman I know.  It's not all bad but it sure isn't all good either!  The 3D is a roller coaster of distance to flatness given each scene as this is yet another post conversion.

!!SPOILERS!!

This Clark Kent hides in the shadows for 33 years before becoming Superman; apparently having only saved a bunch of drowning kids on a school bus (when he was younger), some people on a burning oil rig and.....oh wait, that's it.

Johnathan Kent is actually the one that puts Clark up to being a coward, since he's more consumed about keeping his "secret" from being exposed than helping/pushing Clark to use his powers for the good of mankind; all the while telling him that he was meant for great things.

Gone is the Superman that would try to take the action away from populated areas, nope this Superman dukes it out right in the middle of Metropolis causing even more destruction than what was already going on....although he did manage to save the world so, yeah screw Metropolis.

The "S" in Superman is no longer for Superman but is instead a symbol of hope (a concept from 2004) on Krypton (of course in Superman [1978] it was a family crest so whatever), also his famous suit was apparently designed on Krypton and buried in the arctic ice on Earth in a Kryptonian ship for 20,000 years before being discovered.  Was this the Krypton official planetary ambassador uniform?

How the heck did Clark get a job anywhere close to the government operation anyway?  He would have had to either be a computer hacker or have hired one in order to falsify all the records necessary to do that.

There were quite a few logic problems as well; why did they have to fly Clark's Kryptonian ship in with a chopper?  Couldn't he have gotten it there faster?

The whole Johnathan sacrifice?  Couldn't he have just said that it was to risky to save the dog instead of killing himself in order to keep Clark's secret and let Clark learn the lesson that you can't save everyone?

At one point Clark and Zod end up in a bus station miles away but Lois steps in the door moments later...How did she possible get even a few city blocks in that short amount of time?  Especially considering the city was in complete chaos and ruin.

As a baby it took Clark some time to adjust to Earth's atmosphere even though he'd only been exposed to Krypton's for a short time, yet Zod seems to have no trouble adjusting in a matter of minutes after having been used to Krypton's atmosphere his entire life.  Also Zod had no learning curve whatsoever when it came to flying.

This is the first official entry into the D.C. Cinematic Universe but there is never any feeling that any other super heroes exist although there are logo name drops; Wayne Enterprises and LexCorp but that's it.  When Lois brings Perry White the story of an alien being on Earth they could have at least had him do a throwaway line hinting at Batman in Gotham.

Immortals (3D)~I thought this one was pretty good, sword & sandal fantasy epic based around Theseus.  It actually stars Luke Evans (Dracula Untold), Henry Cavill (Man of Steel) and Mickey Rourke; all three of which have been in movies that I've recently watched.  Surprisingly good post converted 3D with lots of depth and some neat pop outs.

Mord

You should give "No One Lives" a try. It's a recent Luke Evans horror flick. Very enjoyable.

I think it's a new Halloween classic.

I think so as well. it's a fun movie that also pays homage to the different types of Haunts that people create these days.

Is that a Don Post Wolfman mask in the ad at the beginning? Great looking mask.
