She was Playboy Playmate of the month for October '79. Then, Uncle Jess got ahold of her and the exploitation commenced. She was also in Hellhole Women and The Story Of Linda around that time. She was billed as "Fellner" in those Franco flicks. A definite Eurohottie... with an inspiring caboose.  :-*

I really miss Uncle Jess and Aunt Lina (think I'll watch "Female Vampire" when I get off work).

Jungle Warriors (1984)

This one combines the Green Hell (jungle) genre with the Women In Prison (WIP) genre. Not an exploitation classic by any means, but still fun. It's relatively light on the nudity and gore, but there are lots of action and pretty girls. One silly part is Marjoe's character going all Rambo on some persuing drug-lord's bully boys, but that gets nipped in the bud when a cool jungle trap skewers Mr. Gortner... well, his character anyway. There are two majors faults with this flick. One, top-heavy Louisa Moritz is in it and doesn't get naked, and two, Sybil Danning is in it and doesn't get naked. Oh well, at least Ava Cadell and a couple of others came through.

Night of the Demons - All the posts on another thread made me nostalgic for this. Still fun.

Chained Heat (1983)

Exploitation classic WIP with Linda Blair, Sybil Danning, and Monique Gabrielle.

Why don't they make those cool WIP exploitation films anymore? Today's cautious & tepid use of nudity leaves me cold (literally). Even Tarantino would rather show Bruce Willis' *ss than any of the hot females in his films.

Most bow before the idol of political correctness, which translates to 'not having the balls to properly express yourself'. They are so afraid of offending some person or group that they can't be honest with entertainment or anything else for that matter. I keep going back to older entertainment. I appreciate classic monster movies from the silents through the '60s, but I find myself enjoying exploitation from the '70s and '80s more and more. I love Women In Prison, Cannibal, Naziploitation, Eurohorror, and Porn, genres for the raw honest entertainment. I'm ecstatic that we can fill our movie libraries with all of these great uncut releases of classic Exploitation films which include cool bonus features and nice uncut prints. Political correctness be damned.  ;)

Witching & Bitching(2013)~A great Spanish horror/comedy.  This one has a really weird vibe but was incredibly fun to watch.

Mansion of the Living Dead~I found this one to be a missed opportunity, in the right hands this could have been so much more.  The story itself has more potential than what it was used for here but what you get is pretty much what you'd expect going in; plenty of t&a and lapses in logic.

My entire life is based on T&A and lapses in logic (and consciousness).

Wolves~Apparently someone wanted to know what you get when you combine a superhero origin story (namely Superman), MTV's Teen Wolf and The Wolfman (2010).  This film should only be considered if you are a diehard werewolf fan and simply can't help but watch anything made about them.

SPOILER ALERT; here's the best part!

Mansion Of The Living Dead (1985)

I can see where a badly chopped up, badly dubbed, version of this might leave the viewer thinking they were watching dreadful BS with lots of nudity, fake carpet cleaning, and bad kissing. But, there's more to it than that.

Candy Coster (Lina Romay in a short blonde wig) stars as Candy, a topless dancer on holiday with three of her hot friends. They get a killer deal to travel to a nice big hotel on the beach which just happens to have a nearby monastery closed for two centuries. Naughty hijinx ensue between the four horny bims as they discover there are no guests at this hotel and only a spooky manager and a goofy gardener. It turns out SPOILER ALERT that Candy is the reincarnation of a witch named Irina Desound who was burned at the stake here centuries ago. She placed a curse on the monks to become "black souls in the service of Satan". The monks have since been cursed to undeath (more as spirits who can affect the physical world than zombies) and have claimed victims of late by one of their high priests, the hotel manager (Carlo), indirectly inviting victims to the closed down hotel for the monks to prey on. The witch Irina left an out from the curse that if the monks can know love then the curse is lifted. Ironically, centuries later she shows up as her reincarnated self, Candy, to free them from her own curse by first falling victim to them, then feeling love for Carlo and freeing them.

There are some really nice scenes in this film, evoking lust, horror, loneliness, depravity, and relief. Some of the shots are very atmospheric, and I found myself really enjoying this thing after I got past the fake sex (jaded from too much porn, I suppose), and closed-mouth kissing (hate that). The Severin Films DVD release is excellent. It's all there in a great transfer from the original neg, very pretty. There's also a really great 2006 19 min. interview with Uncle Jess and Aunt Lina. If you haven't seen the Severin DVD then you haven't really seen Mansion... Check it out if you like Franco, or just Eurohorror in general.
