The MST3K version is really fun as well.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Mord

"The Babysitter" - like a less classic "House of the Devil. Still somewhat watchable.

Mord

Frankenstein's Army - Not that impressed. I know everybody here seems to love it, so I'll give it another chance when it's on again. Maybe I'll come around.

Memphremagog

Beast In the Cellar(1970)
Blood On Satan's Claw(1970)
Devil Bat's Daughter(1946)
Women Of the Prehistoric Planet(1965)
Curse Of the Crimson Altar(1968)
Cabin In the Woods(2012)
DARK SHADOWS:

David Collins: "Dead people dont just get up and walk around.."

Sarah Collins: "Sometimes they do."

I agree.  I was really looking forward to this but wasn't all that impressed with it either, just glad I caught it on Netflix Instant instead of spending extra money on it.

The House By The Cemetery (1981)

A Fulci classic, and part of his unofficial "Death Trilogy". Very gory and over-the-top. A Fulci flick is like a good horror comic, don't analyze it, just enjoy it. I like this one, but I like The Beyond even more.

BTW, that Bob is one weird looking kid, but Katherine MacColl looks pretty darn good.

It was okay, but I was a bit let down by it, as well. Given the cool plot idea I allowed myself to expect too much. Still, it isn't bad. I think I'll watch it again, too. Some movies and music I have to warm up to.

Happens to me all the time. Some movies (and music) take a second or third try to work their magic. This one got off to a decent start but got really silly 40 min. in.

Memphremagog

Gamera vs. Barugon(1966)
The Monster Maker(1944)
The St.Francisville Experiment(2000)
Doctor Who: An Unearthly Child(1963)
Daimajin(1966)
DARK SHADOWS:

Mord

Nurse - Sexy, psycho-nurse (Paz De La Huerta) goes on fun murder spree, killing any man (& some women) who treat women disrespectfully. She usually does this after spending some quality screen time nude. Look, I enjoyed this flick, though I will watch any movie with a good-looking lead that's willing to strip and get all bloody. I have my standards, you know.

Caught the second half of Son of Frankenstein on Sven last night.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

The Beyond (1981)

Yet another Fulci classic. I'm on a Fulci kick lately. This is my second favorite Lucio Fulci film behind Zombi 2 (Zombie in the US of A). Very Lovecraftian. Excels with the GORE...gory, gory hallelujah, bro! But I'm not really a gorehound so that isn't really the reason I like it so well, though I do appreciate cool special effects. I just like the atmosphere Fulci imbues his creations with...macabre, dark, and full of despair, but simultaneously charged with over-the-top comic bookish horror. Katherine MacColl is good, David Warbeck is good, and the music by Fabio Frizzi is freakin' awesome.

ALWAYS MONSTERING...

Mord

"Ms. 45" (1981) - Hot mute girl gets raped twice, finds a 45 and kicks some serious ass. She dresses as a sexy nun in the final costume party massacre scene.
