Phantom Stranger

"The Apparition" (2012)
-Ashley Greene

Plot: A young couple is haunted by a supernatural presence thst is unleashed during a college experiment

Phantoms Review:  This film commits the cardinal sin of horror films...it isn't scary. Not in the least. It tri4to be an old fashioned ghost story loaded with atmosphere, but their sim
ly is no payoff.  it truly is a dull film. The only thing going for it is leading lady Ashley Greene, who is very hot, outside of that , don't waste your time.

Thank you, I'm glad I'm not the only one bored to tears by this turkey.

"Zombie Lake" (French - 1981) Full-frontal nudity, Nazi zombies, 80's special FX...what else could a fella want?

Mord

Hunger Games (finally) overrated, but not bad. This is too close to the film "Battle Royale". Does anyone know which came first..."Battle Royale" or the Hunger Games books?

Mord

I have "Paranormal Activity 3" free on EPIX on demand, so I gave it a try. Why do I even bother me with these supernatural "thrillers"? I started to snooze after 15 minutes.

I'm pretty sure Battle Royale came first Mord. Hunger Games was pretty good for a teen action flick.

Barely Legal Lesbian Vampires:The Curse of Ed Wood 2000 No this isn't a porn movie, but it was close. Absolutely terrible no budget flick with a lame phony horror host Dr Creepo trying to raise the ghost of his uncle Ed wood to help in directing his movie. The "barely legal" refers to almost to old to appear nude on camera, not just over the age of consent! My friend Danny and I got a few chuckles out of it, but nothing very good.

Hell's Highway 2001 another very very low budget film, but this one was pretty good with a twist ending I actually didn't see coming! Some good gore effects and a hilarious cameo by porn legend Ron Jeremy!

Strange Things Happen At Sundown 2003- another good no budget flick. This one is a comedy about a bunch of Brooklyn vampire mobsters. Hysterical! The ehad mob vampire figured out a way to mix his blood with weed and turn whoever smokes it into his slave, so he and his bloodsucking mafia crew take over the narcotic trade from a fellow non vampire mobster (Joey Balls!). The mobsters have names like Joey the Butcher and Nicky One Fang-Niky is very sensitive about his "disability" too, so don't mention it. Goodfellas with fangs ova here!
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

I know "Battle Royal" came before the movie "Hunger Games", but did it come out before the H.G. books? If so, the writer really owes a lot to B.R.

Battle Royale first published in 1999. Then became a manga series in 2000, then the film in 2000.

The Hunger Games novel was published in 2008 and the film came out in 20012.

Thanks for the info, M, I'm surprised that no lawsuits have come from this.
