......worse movie ever.

That's a bold statement considering that RZ's Halloweens were mentioned in the post directly above it! ;)

Not to mention the fact that he hasn't seen "The Apparition" yet.

Demon Wind; This late 80's cheese-a-thon might not be for everybody but I enjoy it!  Subpar acting, cookie cutter characters, passable practical effects and wretched post optical effects all add up for one hell of a ride!  For a double feature I'd go with Rawhead Rex (I think it is the prominent rolling hills and valleys featured in both!) or The Devil's Rain (Cheese from two different decades will always soothe the palate.)!

"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

Phantom Stranger

"ParaNorman" (2012)

Plot: IMDB
In the town of Blithe Hollow, Norman Babcock is a boy who can speak to the dead, but no one besides his eccentric new friend, Neil, believes his ability is real. One day, Norman's estranged eccentric uncle tells him of an important annual ritual must he take up to protect the town from an curse cast by a witch it condemned centuries ago. Eventually, Norman decides to cooperate, but things don't go according to plan. Now, a magic storm of the witch threatens Blithe Hollow as the accursed dead rise. Together with unexpected new companions, Norman struggles to save his town, only to discover the horrific truth of the curse. With that insight, Norman must resolve the crisis for good as only he can.

Phantom's Review: Beautifully animated, surprisingly well written and a couple of decent scare scenes. To be honest, my expectations were a bit low but I thoroughly enjoyed this film.  A good spoof of horror films with a very good story.

ZimMan2

Finally got around to one that many consider essential viewing.

The Monster Squad 10/10
Objectively, this film has a lot of problems with clunky dialogue and mildly insufficient setup for various character arcs, as well as one bit at the end that makes ZERO SENSE from a real-world perspective, but honestly, that doesn't matter in the slightest.  This movie kicks ass.  It's incredibly fun from start to finish and is made specifically for all of us who grew up wishing we could be a werewolf for a day, slay vampires, hang out with The Monster, or find a god damn decent Creature from the Black Lagoon action figure.  It's nostalgic not necessarily in the sense of growing up with this film specifically, but for taking you back to the time when you totally would walk down the street arguing with your friend over weather or not Wolf Man can drive a car.  It's kind of perfect in that way.
I can assure you this signature is not the least bit amusing.

Monster from the Haunted Sea- ugh.

Have started the original Outer Limits from episode 1 on Hulu. Nice to have a dedicated media PC with a 24" HD monitor on the desk
