"The Creeping Flesh" (1973, Cushing, Lee)

Great little flick! Cushing and Lee are in top form, and the creature, when resurrected, is unnerving. That spell is broken when you see the face, sadly......... but it's a signature lesson in "less is more", which they did quite well right up until the end. 7 bananas
We're all here because we're not all there.

Hellraiser [1987] - excellent  [everything about it was cool, my favorite cenobite was, The Engineer, which was the creature that gave chase in the hospital, the flying skeleton demon at the end was great too, as was the hobo - another thing was when Frank Cotton was resurrected he was a slimy skeleton and it was stop-motion animation which was cool, really like that stuff]

Hellbound - Hellraiser II [1988] - real good [really good as well, liked the maze within Hell a lot, the maze looked non-ending and the structure and the way it looked was awesome! it was grey looking and had some cool stuff in it]

Hellraiser III - Hell on Earth [1992] - good [some of the cenobites were cool, like the one with the zoom scope equipped to his face which fired explosions, the part where Pinhead is in the church, is cool, the cenobites being in the concrete statue was sorta cool as well]

Hellraiser - Bloodline [1996] - decent, I guess [all around ok, the parts in the future and outer space were the best, back story wasn't that great, liked the chatterer beast, which was a cenobite, also for some reason I really liked the part where the robot solves the puzzle box in a metal room and the robot is destroyed in an explosion, some of the robot was stop-motion animation which was great but the rest was CGI special FX which weren't awful, the end where the space station folds into a cube and fires a light weapon onto the cenobites was great, also the part where Pinhead looks at Earth through a window and remarks on the people there, also thought the poster was cool lol and finally I thought the armored SWAT team on the ship was cool]

all of the Hellraiser films are on Netflix Instant, so I figured I'd try and watch them all - already finished with the fourth today - I should get the rest done by next week, I'm going to post what I thought about each and parts of the films I like -  Next up, is the fifth film, Hellraiser - Inferno, which was released in 2000 and I'm thinking it isn't going to be good

Cool, thanks for the heads up!  1 & 2 are great!  III was meh; Loved the Pinhead backstory but I thought the Cenobites in this one were awful, the movie had a definite MTV video feel to it, the atmosphere of the originals was pretty much missing.  IV was just alright as well; I'm the opposite of you, I could have done without the space stuff but the puzzle box backstory was cool!  After that don't look for much Hellraiser in the Hellraiser franchise; V-VIII seem like they were scripts for other movies and someone got the idea to throw Pinhead into the mix and call them Hellraiser sequels!  I've not seen Hellworld but I've heard nothing but bad things about it..and no Doug Bradley!!  I'm not even sure it's worth watching on Netflix Instant.....I'd rather play with a Lament Configuration!!

actually you were right on with that man, I read some trivia about the films and they say that 5-8 were original scripts and they threw in the cenobites at the last minute - I'm starting the fifth one today and I guarantee your right as well, with saying the others won't be great - I don't look forward to the ninth film at all, no Doug Bradley and it looks so crappy, but I'm trying to watch them all
