It's all about the Horror.

Cat Women of the Moon 1953-hilariously bad flick by the same team thta made robot Monster the same year. How the heck did Marie Windsor get roped into this thing?? She and the cat woman were all gorgeous and there is a crappy "moon spider" puppet that livened things up for a few minutes. And did anyone do any actual research on the Moon before writing this thing?? I know it was 1953, but scientists still were pretty well correct on moon conditions at the time (see Destination Moon 1950) yet here we havea cigarette burst into flames on the bright side of the moon even though there is no oxygen nor is it blazing hot on the bright side of the moon, normal earth gravity and a breathable atmosphere contained inside the Cat Women's caves! I sure love these bad movies.

Dawn of the Mummy 1981-pretty good gory version of the mummy story. No star crossed lovers here, this mummy is an outright villian who comes back to get revenge on everyone for opening his tomb and stealing his treasure. He is accompanied by a horde of flesh eating zombie minions as well! The mummy was pretty cool looking. His body reminded me of the Mego Mad Mummy figure, but his face was different-it was blackened and rotted looking.
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things (1971)

Actually, Aunt Martha does dreadful things with alarming frequency. The story centers around a gay couple who are hiding out from the law after committing murder. One disguises himself as a free-love hippie, the other as his overbearing Aunt Martha, who jealously hacks up all the pretty little hippie girls who come on to her "nephew", who seems pretty sexually conflicted. He likes the girls coming on to him, but freaks out and begs Martha for help when things get too hot and heavy. And Aunt Martha is only too happy to oblige.........

Low budget, cornball, unevenly acted with a fairly preposterous storyline. In other words, a quirky 70s masterpiece!! 5 bananas.
We're all here because we're not all there.

The Invisible Woman

Trollhunter- Awesome! 10/10

The Monster Maker (1944) It was ok. Really the only exciting thing about it for me was finding out that the doctor's goon, called "Giant" in the credits, was Glenn Strange. I kept thinking "Who is that guy? I have definitely seen him before." I didn't even know that it was him until I saw the cast listed at the end. 4/10
"The whole world's my hiding place."

I hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me.

This morning TCM showed "You'll Find Out", a haunted house romp w/ Lugosi, Karloff, Lorre and Kay Keiser (his daughter was a classmate of mine in college!).

Lunkenstein

FRANKENSTEIN (1931), again with my nephew's son who liked it very much.

I just received my copy of the Bell, Book, and Candle blu-ray from Twilight Time (Screen Archives). An old fave of mine with a great cast. There's a moment in the night club scene where, I swear, Elsa Lanchester does a brief "Bride" as she listens to Kim Novak lament her boredom. Look for it and I think you might agree.  ;D

Shivers [1975]

Finally got to see ISLAND OF LOST SOULS (1932) again via the Criterion disc.  What a classic!  This is one of the all time greats.  The bonuses on the dvd look cool as well, though I'll take my time going through them.
