Lots of movies. Movies, movies, movies, movies, movies and more movies. Some more movies.
"They come from the bowels of hell; a transformed race of walking dead. Zombies, guided by a master plan for complete domination of the Earth."

 Polariod (2019) -
A girl finds a vintage Polaroid camera that leaves all photographed dead. Not bad. Like
Twilight Zone meets The Ring (but with dumb modern youth). On Netflix.

The Creation of the Humanoids, 1962 - A tale of the eternal struggle between Clickers and the Order of Flesh & Blood.

Don Megowan, Erica Elliott, Frances McCann, Don Dolittle, David Cross, Richard Vath, Reid Hammond. Malcolm Smith and Dudley Manlove.

After 92% of humanity is killed by nuclear war and the lingering radiation, humanoid robots who can withstand the contamination of the forbidden areas are employed do the physical work of rebuilding civilization.  Humans derisively call them Clickers.

Human reproduction has fallen below the rate to sustain the species and the blue-skinned robots come up with a novel way of rectifying the situation.

All talk, no action - if you can handle that.  The acting of the Flesh & Blooders and the Clickers is equally flat and emotionless.  The movie uses stock footage and bits and pieces from other sets.  They also make some truly bizarre costume choices.  (The reactionary Order of Flesh & Blood members wear Confederate soldiers' caps.)   Make a game of trying to recognize what they attempt to pass off as something else.

Evidently, the low budget didn't allow for furniture.  Characters mostly just stand around in big, empty rooms and talk.

Still, the movie raises intriguing questions about some of the present day automation and humanoid/human interaction that we will actually be facing in the not too distant future.  In that sense, it is kind of interesting.

If you are looking for a hard action sci-fi thriller, this ain't it.

I nominate this film as one ripe for a remake.  With today's effects, a snappier script (with suspense about the ending), and real actors this would make a movie I would like to see, one that would send the audience home talking about it.

Is it a different version than the uncut DVD edition (aside from being hi-def)?
