..............the Munsters rings aren't getting more support though.

I long for a set of those as well!  Does that count?!

I always default to Frankenstein, but this time I picked The Phantom. I think I related this story some time ago, but when I was like 12 years old there was a gum ball machine in a local store (possibly Murphy's). The display contained some monster flicker rings, including a Phantom. I started pouring nickels into the damn thing, determined to snag a Phantom. I swear to god, every time I turned the crank a Cinderella ring popped out! It was like a "one-armed-bandit"! I finally gave up the ghost.

I've never seen a Monster Ring vending machine .. When were they available?

I'd say 1967 but I'm just guessing. Another member may have more accurate information.

The Casper rings are cool, but i wish they would have made rings with Spooky and Hot Stuff as well.

Yes, I agree! And Wendy and Nightmare too! Given that two different Casper rings were mixed in with the six Universal monster rings, that would have brought the set up from eight to twelve rings in total.

I have a set of unused flickers. They're like precious little gem stones!

I just thought you might like to see what the backs look like...

Wow! Great stuff! So the flicker part was made in the States by Vari-Vue and then they were attached to bases made in Hong Kong.

Hepcat

Cool! How much did you pay? Did they have any more?
