I wish someone would re-issue these, as well as the matching three ring binders. I know I'd buy them.

The Universal monster binders weren't actually a "matching" item. They were produced by a different company at a different time, and had different artwork. IMO I think the artwork on the wallets is better.

Pictures of the binders can be found in this thread:

It's difficult to decide ..

I voted for ~

Mummy  ~ Dracula
Wolf Man ~ Creature
"There are two means of refuge from the miseries of life: music and cats" ...  Albert Schweitzer

Wolfman

BTW, does anyone have any idea of who the artist on these wallets may have been?

The original art survived (There's an old thread about it in here somewhere), but I don't remeber it being credited.

Those pictures of the original art would indeed be nice to see again. I remember them being reproduced in colour in an early issue of Bill Bruegman's "Model and Toy Collector" magazine more than twenty years ago. I wonder who owns them?

Never saw that issue of M&TC. If you happen to find out which number, I'd like to know.

Bill Bruegman had them for sale years ago in his catalog. I remember the price was in the $12,000 -$ 17, 000 range if memories serves me right. Pretty ridiculous price for back then.

Do you happen to remember if an artist was or was not named?
