For those who have still to make up their minds, here are a couple of build-ups of the Forgotten Prisoner. The first one by RedKing:

And the second by Universal Steve:

Here are the top ten vote getters with 75 members having cast their ballots:

Frankenstein 49

Mummy 35
Phantom of the Opera 31
Bride of Frankenstein 26
Dracula 26
Forgotten Prisoner of Castel-Maré 25

Frankenstein followed by the Creature have a secure hold on the top two positions but the Bride of Frankenstein and the Forgotten Prisoner continue to move up through the ranks:

Kinda like the popularity of the monsters themselves, the big 2 reign again!

Earth 2 Chris

Even though he's off model, I have to go with the Wolfman. He's my favorite Universal Monster, and the kit is a lot of fun. A novice model painter like myself can go off on the fur and get some nice results with low technical skills. I built one back in high school, and now me and my son are working on one.

But there should be three times as many votes here on something so central to monsterdom as the original Aurora monster model kits!

Like the fact that he has big guns. He must have been pumping iron before he posed for the sculpt. lol

Frankenstein is widening now. He is moving like a tremendous machine!

Quiz: Anyone get the reference to my quote?

JP
Surprised nobody got this. We have plenty of sports fans here. It's the famous call from Secretariat's Belmont race.

The very first model kit (not just monster kit) I ever had was King Kong. My dad helped me build it as I was only 4. I loved that kit, and I remember bringing it for show-and-tell in kindergarten. The next one was Godzilla. I was a little older, maybe 6 or so. I painted it with Testors green enamel (a vibrant kelly green), and I painted it with red lips and blood on his hands as depicted in the wonderfully lurid James Bama boxart. I was (and still am) a fan of prehistoric animals and dinosaurs, so King Kong, Godzilla, and the Creature are my favorites. I see The Hunchback of Notre Dame isn't placing very high, but it made my list for the drama and pathos of the pose. Actually, it's very hard to chose just 5! They are all wonderful in their own way.

Well it most certainly merited inclusion in the Forgotten Prisoner's campaign team.

Here too is your Bride buildup:
