Kinda like Batman used against the Penguin's sub in the 66 movie!

Christmas time always brought me cowboy cap guns...this is a Mattel Fanner 50. Unlike the Shootin Shell Fanner 50 on a previous page this one is simply a fanning cap gun...still pretty cool. It is dated 1961.

Hepcat

Mmmmmm roll caps! I just love the smell of caps. I need to add a cap gun or several to my toy collection.

Hep and Scatter....two of my favorite people! Hope you both had spectacular holidays! I love the smell of caps fired too......

Hepcat

I was much more into sci-fi and horror as a kid than I was into westerns, and the only western I ever watched on TV was Bonanza. As a result, I had few cowboy related toys other than a Deputy board game (which I reacquired about five years ago),

Moreover, when it came to cowboys and Indians, I was on the side of the Indians. As a result, I had a beautiful bow and arrow set but no six gun that could fire off a roll of caps. Now of course I'd love to have both a M.I.B. cap gun based on the Lone Ranger or Wyatt Earp or some other cool character, but I'd also like a loose cap gun that worked well so I could fire off cap rolls in the house!

I know what you mean, the smells gotta bring back alot of memories. I recall those little 1 cap metal rockets you could toss in the air (they'd ignite the cap on impact). Found 1 at moms a while back. I'd have hated to be on the receiving end of an errant toss!

Hepcat

Oh I loved those! Parents being what they are these days, those little rockets haven't been sold for decades.

I always liked the ones that had a spaceman standing in the middle of the capbomb! Got one here somewhere....I'll start diggin'! Didn't they have a Batman capbomb too?

jimm

Didn't know there were manned ones. Too cool. Ours were just heavy little metal skull busters! :D

Hepcat

The ones I had were more like this one with the sharper point:

Thems are fancy, here in podunk, we just had metal ones

bigbud

Ain't no bigger podunk than the one I live in jimm....don't be using that excuse........ha!

bigbud

Found one! The little spaceman is holding on to both sides of the rocket/spaceship he is riding in...kinda fun idea...I loved it as a kid.....
