29 here, not really looking forward to 30. Already feeling like a old man with how much stuff I have put myself through over the years. Been in this twilight zone of terror since I ripped my way out of the womb.  >:D

Hey, Happy Birthday I'll be joining you in the 40 club tomorrow! :D

How do the next ten years feel anyways? 20's went by in a blink of an eye. Happy Birthday ..... tomorrow that is!

Happy early birthday bud! I remember 39 like it was yesterday...  ;)

You'll notice a compelling urge to complain about aches and explain to anyone who will listen what's wrong with young people today.

As a Zach fan you'll appreciate this...I got one of the Zacherley tiki mugs and had him sign it on the bottom. He also signed the coaster that came with it

It's all in how you look at it, I can tell my body isn't what it used to be when I was in my early 30's but I still get out there and run around with the kids and I see parents younger than me that are always wondering how I do it!  My mom is in her early 70's, had both knees operated on and is as active as ever and that is the way I see myself being at that age....well hopefully without the knee surgery!  And as with your 20's it all goes by in a blink of an eye....even more so once you have kids and they are growing up right along with you growing old!  I may be 40 tomorrow but it is very much just a number and I won't let that slow me down one bit, now the aches and pains, those may slow me down .................some what! ;)

BTW, I'm a 'Runner'.  My little palm light has been flashing red for YEARS. ;)

That's an awesome line and I'm stealing it for daily use.

I'm gonna keep running myself--you're only as old as you feel.....and until they stop making cortizone and booze I should be feeling ok!

I just bookmarked your site after skimming through it, looks pretty cool.  I'm listening to Coast to Coast AM not so I can't really listen to the pidcast or do any reading.  But I will check it out more during commercials!

Thanks!  I hope you dig what we do!

I was born 2/20/80 and have loved monsters since birth. A large part of that is my dad is a kid of the big monster boom. He built all the old monsters kits when he was a kid. Everything from Frankenstein to Rat Fink. He also collected comics as well.  Although by the time i came along all his monster stuff was gone the monster spirit lived on. Today I'm 32 and plan on living in a Monsters Paradise for the rest of my life. lol! :D
It's all about the Horror.

A significant part of me got stuck at age 12, hence my status her at the UMA. Biologically, I'm five times that. Oh, well. sfsrefs

To be honest, I'm 20 years old. I did watch mummy at age 19, however watched only first half of it, also watched parts of Frankstein when I was younger less then 12 years old. I did watch some more B/W horror such as 1962's carnival of souls and others too.

I'm more into 70's and 80's horror, also some 60's and 90's horror as well. Stuff like Gremlins, The Thing, Aliens, Dog Soldiers, American Werewolf in London, Jaws, still I have a long list horror movies that I really liked a lot.
Collecting? It's what I do!

I think we each have our own era's that we like better.  For me, I just can't decide.  I think every decade has its hits and misses and own sub-section of the genre ie. comedy-horror, sci-fi-horror, occult, satanic, ghosts, etc, etc.

general gruesome

I am 18 years old and just graduated High School on May 10th. I graduated with non-other than fellow UMA member - slayergriffith, whom is also one of my best friends.  I'm not like any other 18-year old wondering around. My tastes in movies, music, tv shows, etc. is far different from any other person of my age. My favorite years for movies are from the 1930s to around the early 1990s. I like some silent films here and there, also. My general taste in music is exceptionally different as well. My favorite type of music is '70s rock/classic rock, heavy metal (that goes also with thrash and death metal), 1960s surf/psychadelic/rock/folk, even 1930s-1940s Jazz. I dislike modern things as well (EX - tv shows, cars, etc) I was born in the wrong era. The only stuff I usually watch on tv is old tv shows/movies. Two of my favorite tv shows is Happy Days and Three's Company. I like shows like good times, the jeffersons, all in the family, the munsters, gilligan's island, MASH, chips, starsky and hutch, etc. the classic stuff. I'm probably one of the last-living people of my age that enjoys the good ol' stuff that some of the UMA'ers that are older love and I can get along better with you guys and speak and discuss our favorite stuff which is the same exact things. Universal monster movies, 50s science fiction, low-budget films, old horror films, black and white films, gory slashers, monster movies, etc.  I consider you guys my brothers and sisters in the sense of our same interests!  so as a fellow "ghoul" I bid-everyone a pleasant day and have a good one, because your guys interests, posts, and opinions make my days interesting and entertaining as well

Congrats on the graduation!  Yea, I think we all wish more young persons were like you. because in a few decades their might not be.  I was like this sort of in high school too.  I played sports and hung out with a lot of people, but most of the time I enjoyed reading Poe and Lovecraft, watching old tv shows and movies, and reading comics.  Sometimes, friends, family, or coworkers tell me I've been born in the wrong era, but I usually respond that I was born long ago I've just been reincarnated and kept the things I loved from my previous life.  That always gets a laugh out of them.....but then it also gets them to think, he he.
