I still have a few years left in me before I hit the big 4-0 so i made it into this group. :)

I was into monster at a very young age by watching the classic on what was the The Son of Svengoolie (now he just goes by Svengoolie) and a whole lot of Godzilla flicks. Once I got into jr high i was introduced to more modern horror and slasher movies. I'll always love the classics and take a rubber suit over CGI any day.

oooohhhh...love Svengoolie.. not as much as Zacherely, but . .hes pretty rad.

I was born in '73, but sometimes I wonder if I was born in the wrong era because I LOVE THIS STUFF!

My parents didn't allow me to watch anything monster or horror related when I was growing up, but I was drawn to it anyway (or maybe because of their restrictions!).  I sought out the monsters first in the library, and the children's section had almost every volume of the Crestwood House Monster Series.  If I checked out these books FROM THE LIBRARY, it MUST be okay for kids, right?  At least, that's what I was banking on when it came to my parents.  Ultimately, they allowed me to explore the classics, and I've been hooked ever since.

I've explored and expanded my fandom through my writing, Halloween make-ups, podcasts, etc. . . . Sometimes the amount of work I put into celebrating my fandom makes me FEEL older than 40, but I'm not quite there yet . . . !   :)
I podcast, therefore I am . . .

I remember sneaking The Hounds of Baskerville and Edgar Allan Poe's "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" from the library.  I liked the Hounds of Baskerville but was really to young at the time to understand or appreciate Poe (I was about 8 or 9).

I just bookmarked your site after skimming through it, looks pretty cool.  I'm listening to Coast to Coast AM not so I can't really listen to the pidcast or do any reading.  But I will check it out more during commercials!

Jordan and I each have an autographed Zach photo we received through a wonderful UMA friend that I still have to get framed. Thing is, I want to frame it along with some WPIX/Chiller Theatre memorabilia from the era, and it's REALLY tough to find nice stuff.
We're all here because we're not all there.

As a Zach fan you'll appreciate this...I got one of the Zacherley tiki mugs and had him sign it on the bottom. He also signed the coaster that came with it

BigShadow

That is one cool mug!  I wonder if I can find one on e-bay?
