Perhaps someone could answer a question that's been vexing me for a while. Why is Great Garloo the one who wears a loincloth when King Zor and Odd Ogg are the ones with the balls?

Maybe Garloo is attempting to hide the lack of them.  >:D

Only kidding! I know Garloo is an iconic Monsterkid toy, but that loincloth is rather silly looking.

I've always felt the loincloth, sandals, & medallion attire Garloo sported was the epitome of sixties monsterkid manliness. I actually dressed like Garloo my whole first year of high school. Chicks loved it.

Did you pose over breezy grates like Marilyn and let your loincloth flap in an unbridled frenzy of thigh slapping lust?  ???  >:D

Every day in gym class, brother. I even wore them under my gown when I graduated.

Unless you were looking under the loin cloth, I'm trying to figure out how you know what is (or isn't) under there....  :o

Back in college, I found a gold keychain with a little bagpipe player on it.  (I think he stood about 1 1/2" tall.)  Thinking it was neat (and since it was a clearance item), I bought it and hung it from my car's rear view mirror.  Every time a girl got in my car, without fail, the first thing she would do is look up the little fellow's kilt!

So Great Garloo is actually Scottish?

Great Garloo!! I got one of these for Christmas and I couldn't get over how cool this guy was. At the time he seemed enormous too! Lot of good memories of that toy. I think I may still have a VHS tape somewhere that was transferred from 8mm film of me playing with it.

It's a little known secret that if you installed the batteries backwards in Great Garloo a surprise appendage would rise from under his loin cloth. That's how Son of Garloo was created.  :o

I was wondering about that. I wonder who the lucky lady was.
