Great "Shape," Gossamer.

Cool "Monster High" pix, h1o1. Gotta admit, though, I'm more partial to Draculaura. Really curious to see how Universal handles the live-action film. Hope it doesn't get totally futzed, like the "Bratz" movie!

Thanks. Ya these were the 2 she wanted. I may get asked to do more she was that happy with them.

Many thanks for the great compliments on Santi, Mark and Count Zirock! And I dig your Karloff inspired Gigantifrankenstein! Any chance of seeing a companion piece sketch of Kong in grappling mode too?

Mark, I love ALL the poster designs! Just to add that my room is just over 7ft from floor to ceiling.  So I'll either have to lose their heads (noooooo!!!) or remove the feet! (what a predicament!) Either that or buy a new house...erm....yeah!

Dr. Madd! A fine and nasty Axeman, cometh! He's got better teeth than me!  :-[

Goss! Nice work on Myers! I agree what Illoman said about the highlights of the hair cutting into the background tones that happen to echo the colours on the mask! Great stuff!

horror101!  Two real cuties! I think my fave has to be the Monsterhigh Wolfgirl! I suppose on the plus side, these horror/goth-based dolls cater for the youngsters who'd give Barbie a miss. Cool!

LOL!  Yeah, I just made an attempt at hanging my poster paper for an 8' x 4' illustration and DANG, that thing is HUGE!  My ceilings are around 7' 6", and although I could still do them the bigger and wider size, I thing I'm gonna cut them down to between 7' and 7 and a half feet.  And, width-wise, probably 3', maybe 3' 6" or so.  Of course, I'll make 'em 10 feet tall if someone wants one that big!

horror1o1 - My granddaughter LOVES the MHDs!  She's gonna dig your pics.  Great job!

Dr. Madd - I'm making Frankenstein first, then Fouke Monster.  I'll pm you about the price.  Mainly, just want to cover my expenses (which aren't that much) and make up for the time it takes me.  Also, if you'd be more interested in a bigger one, let me know.  And you STILL don't have to sign a contract! LOL!

I'm kinda wanting it to put in the new addition after the baby is born, or in the hallway to measure the kids.

Herr Hussmann

If I didn't see the steps from step one, I'd swear that was a photo digitally enhanced to make it look like an illustration! Fantastic work, Mark!

markchro

Thank you very much horror101 and Herr Hussmann!

"photo digitally enhanced" I'll take that as huge compliment in this day and age!  ;D And there was me trying to keep things simplified for a change! LOL!

I must admit that I got quite excited once Hopkin's face started to really take shape by about the third visit to the drawing board and I spent another day fiddling to get it as good as I could. The biggest headache was getting that stenciled text on his chest about right.

I even used a Bob Ross technique! :o  Adding a mix of tones to the black background and then applying a thin wash of white acrylic in certain places. That revealed some of the tone as it dried. A nice touch....thanks Bob!

I hope you all have a great Easter holiday!
