I am drooling over that Invisible Man! He is one of my all time favorites! That is a BEAUTIFUL rendition of him!!! Great colors on that one too!
Do you like monsters? They're my only weakness...

Now its out of the Bag I can show one recent project,
I was commissioned to do a cover for the German DVD of this turkey:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062193/

I only had a few screenshots for reference and used the two portraits from my files (I know, Carradine is a bit too young)

This is my illustration

This was my design concept

And this is they made out of it. Which one's better? You decide....

Thanks for looking!

Rainer, that is *perfect*!! The design, the colors everything works well. Great, great job!

RedKing

Wow Rainer, that is beautiful! FAR better than the crappy US DVD cover which was just some hamfisted photoshop job! While I will admit I have a soft spot for this movie, it is a major stinker!
Crazy am I? We'll see if I'm crazy or not!

Nightmares in Plastic that is so awesome!  The inset shot of the very aged Lonster is perfect.  A beauty of a piece.  What medium is used here?  And I agree about seeing a gorgeous painted cover is much better that seeing a photo-shopped dud.  Remember the good old days when the art poster would draw you in as a viewer.  Today it all looks the same out there.  Thanks Rainer for showing us how it's done!!!

Thanks so much for the compliments on MR. Rains.  It was a fun piece to do as I'm simply playing with Oils and not knowing how to handle them.  I learned alot on this piece and I think I'm going to go back in for retouches on a couple of muddy areas.

Creaturerevenge I do want to do another one of the Invisible man and maybe soon.  Just found a great shot to have a go at.  Maybe to advanced for my skills but I do want to try it.

One of my recent pieces.  I've always been taken by Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings series.  I've painted Gandalf three times now and Lee as Saruman twice.

This is from my fave scene in the Mines of Morea where Gandalf exclaims I have no memory of this place.  Acrylics on watercolour paper.

Moonshadow

Stunning Gandalf, Gossamer!!

And Ranier, very cool DVD design!

Gossamer

Thanks so much, Moonshadow!

Nightmares in Plastic,  I just love the Chaney in your painting!!!  Can't stop coming back to it!!  Again great work.

Just Finished this one!!!  Chloe Moretz from the new HAMMER film "Let Me In"

I was really taken with this film and hope alot of people give it a chance.

Illoman

Goss, that is *awesome*!! The reflected light on the underside of her chin is very well executed. I like the monochromatic fell of the piece. The lighting, the highlights are both very nice. Great job!!

TypH

Here`s something new by me, never done this before, here is my first ever water coloured piece, this was a test piece for me,but I had a blast doing it can`t wait to do another, and as you might know it`s a tribute to The Creature From The Black Lagoon one of my all time favourite black and white monster films!

Illoman

TypH, this has a very nice quality about it. Appropriate to use watercolors for the Creech, eh? Nice job!!

Beautiful work.  By the way, if you ever get the chance to watch the original Sedish version, LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, please do so.  It's also great and it has a bit more to it.

And the best part (if the film does well) you can also claim it to be a portrait of Carolyn Stoddard from the new Dark Shadows!
