Oh, man that Nosferatu is wonderful!!! I always like seeing folks' interpretations of that character. I've always wanted to try him but as of now have not. You did a truly remarkable job on him. Congratulations, sir!!!!

Long time no post, but my life is a pile of s***t at the moment, and blocking my creative output. Some very cool stuff posted here recently, your guys creativity is truly inspiring and uplifting! So here is one painting from last year, again in watersouble oils, of an old favourite from around here. Hope you like him!

Rainer, your lavender Frankie is Gogos-esque! I think I'm one of the few UMAers that prefers the look of Glenn Strange over all the other Frankies. I happen to agree with Jack Pierce that Glenn's craggy face and rectangular head shape was really the true Frankie look that he had always envisioned. Are there there any smallish prints available for sale of this masterpiece?? Hope things in your life improve.

Thank you UP, charp13, long live kong and Mike for your kind compliments on the Caroline portrait!

Mark! I love the Florida Skunk Ape and the way you lit him in the photos is really cool. Lucky Dr.Madd!

Rainer! Great to see yer back! I just hope things improve for you, but there's no stopping your wonderful paintings!
Beautiful work on the Glenn Strange with a cool choice of tones and some lovely details on Orlok.

Another one oil portrait done last year based on a scupture by Pete Murphy and a photo by John Allred:

Thanks again,

I had to quote this post just so it would appear again on a new page! What a fascinating, wonderful portrait of ol' Graf Orlock!

Here's a HULK illustration I did last week by inking over printed 'bluelines' (pale cyan) vintage Jack Kirby sketchbook pencils. The actual piece is 11 x 17. Wish I was more of a penciller so I could whip out more of my own goodies (like at shows or commissions), but it has always been a struggle to pencil stuff worthy of being inked. I am always anxious to get to the INKING part!!!

Here's the sketch. The face on mine looks more like 'Arnold.' I always thought he would have been perfect when Arnold was younger (like if he had been on the TV series).

Doug, excellent! You did the King proud. A lot of people can't ink Kirby but you nailed it!

Thanks all.  It's awesome when someone wants a whole shot, I love doing scene pieces like this.

Not sure if I posted this one here. I did this one about a month ago :

I approached John about capturing this iconic scene for me to enjoy (*at*) home and he did a fantastic job with detail, mood etc...Can't wait to hang it in the monster room!!

Happy 4th everyone!
