Jack Davis illustrated these trading cards included with the Dracula's Greatest Hits album.

It was Jack Davis who designed the characters who appeared in the Mad Monster Party movie. Here are a few of his sketches:

The MONSTER PARTY! art above is CRACKED's John Severin, not Jack Davis...

Correct! Sweet piece but not Jack

Yeah, the Severin sig was a bit of a giveaway.

John worked for several companies throughout his career, but he was THE MAN at Cracked where they did For Monsters Only, Monster Party, and various monster issues of Cracked. I really enjoyed his Kull from Marvel back in the early '70s. John and Marie Severin did some excellent comic book work over the years.

Arrrggghhhh!! Just goes to show how easily errors can be perpetuated on the internet. Mad Monster Party sketches by Jack Davis are surprisingly tough to find.

:-\

Here anyway is a promotional poster Jack Davis drew for NBC in 1965:

If you mean originals, that's probably because they belonged to Rankin/Bass. I'm guessing they're in Rick Goldschmidt's archives, today.

Since Severin was working with Davis designs, I can see where that would be an easy mistake to make.  Does anybody have available any of the Davis drawings for that movie?
The made for TV followup (Mad Mad Monsters) characters look quite different from Davis.  I was wondering if those were designed by Paul Cocker Jr.
What ever happened to my Transylvania Twist?

There's some confusion here. The Severin art is the "Monster Party" piece from Cracked magazine -- he didn't work on the "Mad Monster Party" movie -- that stuff IS Davis.

Do you have many of the Topps Frankenstein Valentine Stickers or the Topps Terror Tales? I've found those to be two of the toughest sets.
