Great find! And as cool as Bigfoot looks I think the best part of the piece is the Indian. Love it!
He does have some awesome high top tennis shoes!

Here's more of the Jack Davis/Bigfoot- it's from Canada's Weekend magazine (1959).

That is killer! The illustration where he is crouched and macking on the chick reminds me of one of Jack's Frank pieces. And it's not hard to see the inspiration Mr. Davis finds in people for his work when you take a gander there at 'Ole Gustave, the school janitor. Haha. Classic.

Thanks for sharing this!

Thatis a great piece of illustration. I love his Sasquatches. Brings me back to when Bigfoot and Bigfoot sightings were fun and exciting part of my childhood. Not ruined by reality shows about howling in the woods every episode and ruining even the smallest nostalgia of the olden "In Search Of" days.

One of my favorite Jack Davis Covers:

FRANKENSTEIN - Magazine - Sick - No. 25 - Vol. 4, No. 3 - December, 1963.

Great cover! Jack Davis was a regular contributor to Sick magazine which had a twenty year run for 134 issues between 1960 and 1980.

I have a brochure Jack illustrated called Land of the Sasquatch, which was sold for years by Sasquatch researcher Rene Dahinden and is now sold by Bigfoot historian Larry Lund. Here is a pic:

I shudder to think what is inside that box.

Here is something new! I never saw it before but someone here might be able to place it origin. It was a gift form a friend. It hung over her desk when she worked at some company and when they were redoing the office the told her she could have it. After seeing my home she figured it would belong better there with the other Jack Davis art.

Dan'l, was it possibly an early promo piece for what became the cell-animation MAD, MAD, MAD MONSTERS?
