kinda funny, my fiance just gave me a psychobilly band-shirt and it has the face of dracula on it, that is so weird  my last post just mentioned the connection  between rockabilly, psychobilly and punk music to kustom culture and the classic monsters ;D
even a woman who is pure of heart....well you know the rest..

Gabby and Scatter, I sculpt too! Mainly in wax or oil-base clay. For me, I can't imagine wearing gloves and sculpting.......just gotta get my fingers into it. Got alot of those little wrapped colored clays that you cook in the oven.....just haven't gotten at em. I think there are alot of sculptors in the UMA......Bud

I have near complete sets of the odd rods cards from the late 60s early 70s, had em covering my room as a kid and have built up a nice collection of them

I'm surprised John/Inkfink hasn't chimed in here--he works in this area a lot.

Well, I'm only a sculptor in my dreams...........once I can quit the 2nd job I'm hoping to have enough time to start seriously  pursuing my interests.  Until then, I just play with clay.  ;D
We're all here because we're not all there.

Wow do those bring back memories!!! I still have the scrap book I made when I was ten years old with my Odd Rod stickers in it. I used to draw those things endlessly back then!!

I was under the impression Ed Roth kicked the whole monster hot rod thing off and the Weird Oh's soon followed. Am i wrong??

You are correct. The Weird-Ohs were Hawk's response to the Revell's "Big Daddy" Roth line of fink kits.

Aw!  Then the chronology would be ....Big Daddy Finks, Hawk Weird-ohs, Marx Nutty Mads. Got it!   Bud

I think Big Daddy and Stanley Mouse both started doing the "monster in a hotrod" thing about the same time (and possibly independently of each other--anyone know?).
