This is a few years old so I'm sure some of you have seen this.
I thought about it recently and decided to post it for those who haven't.

I didn't know Bruce had anything like this still in his tank.
I mean, I know his whole early career was just a Diet or Low Fat version of Tom Waits and so is this....
but STILL

Bruce Springsteen - A Night With The Jersey Devil

Even though Bruce is from a little further north (Asbury Park), the Jersey Devil is not far from here where I live.   >:D

I've been a Fan of the Boss' since early 80s. The Man stands on his own as does his music, so I whole heartedly disagree with Drew's perspective

That being said, This song is awesome, and definitely different from anything which he has done before
"In each of us, two natures are at war--the good and the evil. All our lives the fight goes on between them, and one of them must conquer..."

Oh, don't get me wrong - I'm down with the Boss. He's the boss of me, anyway.

I just think his first few attempts are very early Tom Waits. Then I think he hit his stride and found his own identity.

My buddies and I used to joke that Tom Waits was tired of Bruce copping his act so he put out the bizarre album "Swordfishtrombones" as a way to say "Let's see him try THAT!"

Bruce is beyond awesome!! One of my all-time faves! HUGE Elvis fan BTW. He jumped the wall at Graceland in 1975, ran across the front lawn and made it to the front door only to be told Elvis was on the road performing. Which sucks almost as much as my having tickets to an Elvis concert in Hartford scheduled 5 days AFTER his death. ;D
We're all here because we're not all there.
