A friend of mine and her husband ran a comics shop for many years. They had an autograph book they either took to comic conventions, or gave to customers to take for them. She gifted me with the album the other day!!

That's a ridiculously cool collection of autograph cards, HH. Congratulations! I know it wasn't easy finding them all.
Thanks, Mord. I'm still working on those Hammer sets. I need the 6 auto cards from the 1996 set, the 6 auto cards from the 2000 set, and the Dave Prowse card from the 2008 set. I recently landed the 74 card Hammer Horror Entombed set from 2000, which is one of the tough ones. Gotta keep pluggin' away or never get some of this stuff.
ALWAYS MONSTERING...

What will you do when you have them all? I think you will miss the chase (no pun intended).

Got this in the mail today, so freaking excited!

Svengoolie is a hosted horror movie show. The show's title is taken from the name of the character host. The show is a long-running local program in the Chicago area and in recent years expanded nationally, airing Saturday nights on Me-TV.

he show generally airs low-budget, horror and science-fiction movies, with host "Svengoolie" – a telescoping of Svengali + ghoul – played by Rich Koz, who wears thick makeup around his eyes, moustache and goatee, fright wig, and top hat, all black, along with a tuxedo jacket over a bright red open-collared button-down shirt.
Just before and after commercial breaks, Svengoolie presents sketches, tells corny jokes, and performs song parodies spoofs of the film being aired.

I love the show and watch it every week. The show introduced me to old school horror movies and really the reason why I'm so into them now,

Here's a new one in my collection.  Hard to find this old character actress, Ethel Griffies.  Movie fans of both classic and modern horror (well, kind of modern) will remember her.  In WEREWOLF OF LONDON (1935) she's Mrs. Moncaster, one of the two comical old drunken ladies who rent a room to Henry Hull for his private transformations!  And in THE BIRDS (1963) she's the old bird-watching lady in the diner who gives Tippi Hedren some bad news---"We wouldn't have a chance!"  Also in 1935, Griffies had parts in the suspense film, THE MYSTERY OF EDWIN DROOD and in the ghost story THE RETURN OF PETER GRIMM.  She was great in both comic and serious roles.  One of the great character people!

Nice add Robert!

Mike, I just noticed the comic signatures you posted.  Those are cool.  Was that from Hal at the Bookie Parlor?

It pains me that this thread seems to have died off. So, I am inviting autograph collectors to resurrect it. A recent acquisition or two of my own to get it rolling. Where the heck are you at, LugosiFan and alla the rest a youse bums, lol?? Show up and show off.

Going to a HorrorHound in a few hours close by. On my buddy's dime, since we havent done anything in a while. I will let you know if I score anything there. Meanwhile....a couple of moderns and an extremely elusive one I shared in the latest gets thread, but it needs to be here.

I met Nick Castle at the Horror Hound. He's the original Michael Myers. Signed some stuff for me, and got a picture with him. Cool guy. Got a few since I am not likely to meet him again.

The painting I have by Ernest Thesiger has a very atypical signature.  His writing varies tremendously, but I find myself wishing the painting had a more typical autograph.  Perhaps I'll be able to acquire one at some point.
