Great stuff Tom, thanks for posting your stuff!

Where did you get that pic of Carla?

BK

Thanks! I just did an image google with her name and that one caught my eye so i printed it out on photo paper. There was a decent shot of her from her scene in Dracula, but it didn't show her beautiful face as well as the one above.

After the holidays, i plan on pursuing autographs from:

Russell Johnson: It Came From Outer Space/Gilligan's Island

James Arness: The Thing

Jonathan Frid: Dark Shadows

Elyse Knox-Harmon: The Mummy's Tomb

I'm also interested in Colleen Gray from The Leech Woman, but i can't find any leads on an address for her...does anyone have it? I know she's doing a con next year somewhere up north, but i can't attend...

Russell Johnson was also in THIS ISLAND EARTH and ATTACK OF THE CRAB MONSTERS.  He has a website, but when I just tried it, it asked for a login name and password..strange.

Arness has photos available on this site:  http://www.jamesarness.com/

but none of him from THE THING FROM ANOTHER WORLD.  Hey Jim, what about us Sci Fi fans?

Here's Frid's site: http://jonathanfrid.com/New%20Site/news.htm

I couldn't find any official website's for Knox or Gray.

If you mail Frid a photo, dont expect to get the actual photo you mail in back. His agent keeps them to make re-strikes and then sends back a signed restrike of the photo that was bought and mailed to him. >:( They also have this tendency to get bent up quite a bit on the way back. :o

Yeah, i noticed that. I was thinking about just sending him one of my own and see what happens. But yeah; his site is a motherlode to fans of Gunsmoke!

Thanks for the info!

Jonathan Frid is very prompt.  I sent for an autographed picture from his site and received it in about 10 days.

I had ordered the surprise pack from Frid's website some time ago.  It's an autographed program from his one-man show, 2 or 3 unsigned small photos, and some photocopied articles.  It's $10 plus $5 for postage.  I actually prefer signed paper to photos.  It allows me to cmbine the autograph with multiple images easier.

The bottom right, top left, and middle left photos are the ones that accomapnied the program.

This is my favorite Frid I have. I only have two shots left because I had to sell a bunch of them off to pay bills whilst I be unemployed (kills me to do this). I had bought a nice 8x10 glossy of this and sent it in. I got a cheaper matte finished re-strike back signed. Kind of bitter sweet, but its still a great shot and its signed.

Anton, That's  a Great Shot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Word had it that he despises the shots of him with fangs bared and in make up. The two I have kept are both fangs bared shots. I guess I should feel lucky he didnt refuse. Lee is the same way about Dracula now. There was a period for awhile he kind of warmed up to his legacy and signed Dracula pics galore. Now he's back to refusing. You once told me you had a story about Frid to tell me. You havent yet (unless I am going senile...a possibility I suppose)....so shoot me an email.  ;)

monsterphile

That's the shot of Frid that I like the best.  If he had that one on his website when I had ordered, I actually would have gotten that one.
