I should have known that you'd have that one.  :) Sal Buscema was a great Hulk artist. I think my least favorite was Steve Ditko. He was great for Spiderman, but just OK for Hulk. Jack Kirby will always be a favorite. Of more recent artists though Ed McGuinness is mind blowing. His renditions were so powerful.

I used to love the TV show. I was a working musician back when the show first premiered and I had a gig that night. I was so intent on seeing it I made the band change the time we went on so I wouldn't miss it. This was before VCR's were common.  :) I don't know if you saw this thread but I met Lou Ferrigno at Wondercon last week.

I agree that the 2nd Hulk movie was better. I was disappointed after walking out of the theater when I first saw the 2003 film. What was up with the Hulk's size? He was all over the map. When he fought the Hulk dogs he was huge! Betty Ross looked like a child's doll when he picked her up. Overall though I'm really pleased with the Avengers take on our favorite Marvel Character.

That is so cool you got to meet Ferrigno. It is too bad we will never meet Bill Bixby. When I recently watched, for the first time, those 3 old Hulk movies with Bixby and Ferrigno, it was real closure for the series. Also, I agree with you on your other points. Especially the size of the Hulk in the first movie. If he was any bigger, he could have fought King Kong. lol

On another note, did you ever see this Hulk that I posted before. It is a 14 inch tall huge and heavy Hulk stature based on the Sal Buscema Hulk. As far as I know, there are only 2 in existence and this one has the better paint job.

I always liked "The Incredible Hulk Returns" with Eric Kramer as Thor. I loved seeing Hulk and Thor fighting side by side. Something we haven't seen again until "The Avengers" movies. I still have a few things from back then one of which being an original copy of this poster from the episode "Married". Mine isn't signed though. If I knew that I was going to see Lou at Wondercon I would have brought it with me for him to sign.

That figure you have is a stupendous rendition of Sal Buscema's Hulk! I love it. I've seen pictures of it before but I wasn't aware that there were only two in existence. That's amazing! Congratulations on owning such a rare and beautiful figure. Do you have this DVD?

It has beautiful scans from original copies of every Hulk comic from the beginning unitl December 2006 including annuals!! It's one of my favorite Hulk items. I paid $50 back in 2008 and people now are asking ridiculous prices for it. A seller on Amazon is asking $600 for one!! Crazy! Marvel made the manufacturer stop making them once Marvel started selling digital comics. They had these for a lot of Marvel's characters.

Wow and no, I don't have this. Is this every comic book in it's entirety or just the covers? Either way, it's an amazing item. I probably should have named this thread the Everything Hulk thread for a general discussion. Too bad threads can't be modified after like 24 hours of being posted. However, I guess we can still use this thread in that capacity. Here is another Hulk, this is the overly mass produced Marvel Select hulk. lol However, this one has a beautiful custom paint job. Unlike the airbrush one at the beginning of this post, I think this one was dry brushed. One of my favorite things is taking pics of the loose figures in my collection. The Hulk makes one of the best photo subjects. The pics just seem to have a real natural dynamic presence.

Beautiful paint on that figure Horrorman! It's nice that you have a custom one like that because as you said it probably is the most common of all the newer Hulk figures. I have this one too but it's stock as all my Hulk pieces are. 99% of my Hulk collection is in boxes in my garage from when I moved into my condo after I had to sell my house. I don't have room to display them now and I took so much time and care packing them I don't want to pull them out until they're ready to come out for good, thus I have to rely on stock photos during our Hulk discussions. Maybe we should start a general Hulk thread with a link to this one so those that are interested can see where it started. I'll leave that up to you. Oh, and yes that DVD has complete scans (not just covers) of all Hulk comics including the ads from the beginning up to December 2006 including annuals. If you were to buy original copies of all those issues it would cost you thousands of dollars. I've sent you a PM.

Nice paint work! I have a rather large Hulk collection and I have both versions of this figure. Both have the same body, one with open mouth and one with closed. My favorite Hulk collectable that I have has to be this 3D version of THE INCREDIBLE HULK #1 comic cover. It's huge!

I have this one too, and it's also my favorite.  Just a phenomenal piece of art.
