Nobody said scan.    A photo of them.   The pictures in Model and Toy collector from 1990 were on rag  paper and they were fine,  it was just 3 of them though.

Its about collectors keeping something all to themselves that has significance to the hobby as a whole.

Like seeing images of the Aurora paintings.   

I remember buying that issue on the newsstand and always wanting to see the other 3 paintings.

New guy here, but this arguing is a bit frivolous. Rare and unique pieces are allowed to be sequestered away in private collections, undocumented to the public, these aren't ancient artifacts that belong in the Smithsonian. Great pieces always find their way to the light, it keeps the hobby interesting. Reminds me of the threads I have read about the AHI creature squirt gun....boy would I love to have one but sometimes it'll take a decade or two before items surface, and that's ok!

The first post was edited by the original poster and now it makes less sense. The original artwork for the old Monster wallets sold at auction and it went downhill from there.

I'll sum it up:

Someone accused another of buying the art and sequestering it away in a hidden room, for no other person to ever see. Like folks do whenever they speculate if London After Midnight is owned by a wealthy billionaire, and is depriving the rest of us from ever seeing it.

That really shouldn't happen on boards where we come to get anyway from constant bickering though. Yet it happens everywhere.

Toys, Monster stuff, cards, masks, model kits....you name it
Whenever there's a topic some folks are passionate about, have an opinion over, and wish to share it, they do. Even if it comes across as caustic and/or belligerent.....or may actually be. Voice inflection is lost in type, but sometimes a hateful comment is kinda easy to read.

I've had folks holler at me about a variety of topics on a variety of forums over the years. It's why I barely contribute to the forums I visit anymore. You never know when someone will pounce, and a fight begins.

Sometimes the "person" I could be arguing with could be a program, bot, or AI. So I just nope out.
