Passed away of a heart attack at age 59 while walking on the streets of New York.

So.. so... so.. bummed right now.... Ferris, Weird Science, Home Alone (wrote), Sixteen Candles and the Breakfast club..... hmm my teenage years just returned for a split second... thank you John Hughes and rest well.......

Although not horror, I enjoyed his works very much.   I grew up in the 80's and looked forward to his movies.  RIP John Hughes.
