maybe someone could help me out with an ID on the one dead center (with no text) - is this from "Hamilton Gifts"? What is that and are there other monsters?

Hamilton Gifts did indeed make other monsters:  Dracula, Wolf Man and The Creature rounded out the large vinyl figure set (Drac has a cloth cape, the Creature looks a little shaggy).  They also made 3" static PVC figures of each in somewhat dynamic poses.  They even made a set of pencil toppers - heads attached to graphic ladened pencils - and a light up Frank bust too!

Why am I having a hard time identifying this frank face? I wanna say it's an AHI, but it doesn't look like any AHI I've ever seen.

BTW, you give good face Gakenstein!  ;D

re Hamilton, thanks for the info. So if they made the smaller PVC set with a cool crouching Wolfman, I do have that set - that's where I saw that name! So - does anyone else want to post some faces or shall I take another turn? I think it might be hight time to look at the Monster's HANDS. Almost anyone get get away with a passable Frankenstein face but how a sculptor treats his hands shows the depth of commitment and understanding. Next project perhaps.

OK, Bobby:

Now someone needs to post a legend, identifying all the faces by manufacturerer and year.

Since YOU started this...

Sorry to get to this party so late, but I really wanted to contribute. It just took me a little while to assemble the photos properly.

You knew the job was dangerous when you took it, Fred.

CreepyJeff

That's great, Jim!  That jiggler Frank face cracks me up among the other, more serious looking Frank faces.  Cool concept on this thread.  Wish I could unearth all my Franks from their boxes but must finish the basement!

Ha! Thanks Jim! I had meant to post a little text explanation but somehow missed it. It's a bit "in your face gaudy" for me.  I was just putting together a regular little "faces" collage when my wife walked by and remarked "You could do a lot with that with Photoshop" so I decided to do just that - a lot - and see what happened. Maybe I should give away one free poster with every bong cleaning kit! I did learn about some PS features I hadn't tried before. The fun never ends for Monster kids...

I was looking at the Rondo Awards and noted that our own Gary D Macabre was nominated for his website, "The Many Faces of Frankenstein".  Gary mentioned the website isn't even finished quite yet and hadn't been released to the public.  http://universalmonsterarmy.com/forum/index.php?topic=462.msg9730#new

I just wanted to say that I had no idea Gary was creating that website when I started this thread, it was just a coincidence.  Nobody said anything to me about it, but after seeing Gary's most excellent work on that website, I wanted to clarify that this wasn't related to that, or derivative of it.

And Gary, if you decide to expand your website to include toy monster faces, I'll be happy to contribute anything you'd like to have.

Hey Bobby

It's all good.  The phrase "the many faces of Frankenstein" is actually pretty common, but seldom does it do the subject matter justice. Which is why I specifically chose it although it lacks uniqueness. In all my wanderings this thread is likely the best use of the phrase to date.

The Website has so many branches and directions that it can be a virtually unending subject.  I have no fear of the site stagnating. From artwork, to radio drama, to live theatere, to toys they all warrant inclusion at some point in time.  But cinematically is where it all starts.  Hey I support this thread whole heartedly (it will make my life a lot easier when it's time to include this branch).

Gary...

I did not even realize that the site was up for a Rondo!
I didn't think it was even opened up to the public yet!

My bad.  I apologize for my comment sent in private e-mail earlier today.
THIS year!
