I believe it was here some time ago someone posted a painting guide for the monsters: i.e. Lugosi's/Chaney's/Karloff's eye color, hair color, etc.
Could someone repost that? I thought I saved it but can't locate it.

Thanks,
Mike

Yep, that's the site to check.  I just posted this same link in the WOLF MAN DEBATE thread at CLASSIC MONSTER MOVIES here.  Seems to be a popular subject lately!

Hey--that's me!

I remembered a general questionaire filled out in Lugosi's hand, printed in FMOF.  I HAD to find that for his eye colour when I painted my Billikin Dracula in the early 1990's... and it led to what you see on the webpage.

Hope it's useful.

That's it!! I read your post earlier today and thought it was such a great reference I bookmarked it. Then I saw this thread by Mike just a few hours later and remembered the link but couldn't remember which thread led me to it.

Thanks, LB that's perfect!! I appreciate you posting that.

It is a valuable resource.  Thanks for doing that, it will be an enormous help to us all.  I know I appreciate it as do others.

Just curious on people's paint styles. My forte is on the 54-60 mm toy soldier stuff but even with the few larger plastic figs /models and even masks that I paint I like to use a flat black primer. Then 2-3 coats of dry brush on the figs and dry sponge on the masks. Sometimes I follow up with a thin color wash and 2-3 coats of sealant.

How do you do yours?
