Gasport

Wow...looks like new AND even has the hang tag! Does it still retain any of that magical oily jiggler smell??  Nice find, congrats!!

After many long years, I finally scored this bad boy on eBay a couple of weeks ago:

My mother bought me one of these in a department store in Bowling Green, KY back in 1973, and he was always my favorite jiggler. I was thrilled to finally get a new one to replace my long departed friend.

That is the "bees knees", George.  How did you slay this critter?

ramsey37

Actually, I just stumbled across him by accident ;)

Some folks just have an innate capacity for spinning a fascinating yarn.

Well, ok, you forced it out of me:
I was recently travelling through a small town in Maine when I stumbled across an interesting antique store. The sign above the door read "Needful Things". I was in need of some things, so I stopped and checked the place out. A lovely man named Gaunt showed me about, and there in a display case was this very jiggler. He must've seen how excited I was by it, and he opened the case and pulled it out. It was love at first sight. However, the price was rather astronomically high, and I told him I only had half what he wanted for the dragon. He laughed and told me that he'd gladly work a special deal just for me: all the money in my wallet, plus a signed document giving him the exclusive rights to the immortal soul...of Scatter! Sorry dude, it was worth it >:D

I find it easier to bypass making a pact with the Devil and just search for "jiggler" on ebay.  No strings attached that way.  Except for the string on the jiggler.

Speaking of jigglers, here's another recent purchase that landed yesterday:

This is the 1980 Ben Cooper Godzilla jiggler. Apparently, Ben Cooper originally released this as a generic dinosaur in 1974, then reissued it in 1980 with a Godzilla tag. His belly is still marked "c1974". I owned one of the generic dinosaur versions of this as a kid. I suppose if you squint really hard and use your imagination, he *kinda* looks like the Big G ;)

Nice score, George.  That's one I've been meaning to add to the collection for some time.  So bad it's good, as they say.

The box and the Godzilla are neat.  George is on a jiggler roll.
